Thanks, just trying to stagger into the playoffs after a long, long drought.  We are improving every year under Coach Ware. We actually have a pretty dam-n good team!

The “New” Nederland stadium opened tonight and the band parents are pissed on their FB post.  I guess they don’t like being in the end zone.  Just wait until they see all the “new” schools being built are just adding on to the old schools.

Barbers hill band is in the end zone to !!! Png band just moved back into the stands this season!!

Nederland definitely regressed this week.  Dayton came prepared and executed.  They looked like a varsity verses a JV.  In many ways that’s true.  But that’s the way it’s going to be this season.  The dogs will have spurts here and there, but it will be a long year.  Great game Dayton.  You look like the Dayton of old.

I am still wondering where all this talent is that Nederland fans have been raving about

1-4 and looking very much like a JV team, being blown out in the 4 losses

I would love for someone to let us know where all this talent is!

In fact someone said that I was ignorant on talent. Seems that he must have mistaken me for himself!

Yep.  I don’t know if it was homecoming distractions or just plain old not getting prepared,  but a lot of that is on the coaches to keep them focused.  They weren’t ready for that game and never got into it or got anything going.  Very poor showing.

    • What the writer stated wrt crossover votes in the primary/runoff: "Covey and his supporters Paxton and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said Phelan only won because Democrats crossed over to vote in the Republican Primary for him. Paxton said Covey’s campaign identified “at least” 1,442 Democrats who voted early in Jefferson County in the primary runoff. The Covey campaign has not released its methodology behind its claim, but  This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up  by The Texan news website found that 9% of Republican voters in the March District 21 primary had voted in one of the previous four Democratic primaries. However, only 5% of that group had voted in all four previous Democratic primaries. What Phelan’s opponents did not mention is historically Democratic Jefferson County is undergoing a political transition towards the Republican party — the county judge switched his affiliation to the GOP in 2017 — so many residents have a mixed primary voting history. And Phelan’s allies in the House dismissed the idea that liberals swung the election. "I knocked on doors, hundreds and hundreds of doors, made calls for Dade,” Republican Rep. Jeff Leach, R-Plano, said on Mark Davis’ radio program Wednesday. “I did not speak to a single Democrat down here in HD21. Not a single one." "
