HD vs Evadale

H-D BOBCAT 55

Recommended Posts

Alright boys, we are gonna set the record straight on the officiating for the Deweyville game.  Here are the official stats for HD Offense vs. Deweyville Defense:

HD had 92 Total yards before penalties on both sides were assessed.  H-D had 95 yards in penalties offensively, and should have had more considering they were false starting on the majority of their plays (Only 5 were called).  They were also called for illegal formation and delay of game.  Deweyville had 40 yards in penalties defensively,  leaving HD with 43 total yards of offense.

Overall, Deweyville had 6 penalties for 60 yards.  HD had 14 penalties for 125 Yards.  5 of HD's penalties were personal fouls, 3 of those were unsportsmanlike conduct.  Can't drop the F-bomb on the ref or throw your helmet.

After all penalties assessed to both sides, Deweyville had 445 yards of Total Offense.

Hope this helps clear things up.

Peace

Where did this dude come from lol.

HD’s full back Aguirre alone rushed for 96 TD’s and 2 scores, just seen it in the Liberty Vindicator, both teams were up and down the field all night. This is fake news! Heck HD had 200 yards in donated ref yards against them, our best player kicked out in 1st quarter, still a close game. They play again all those stars don’t align for the Pirates again...

Not true. If you know football, you know if one team has almost 500 yards on offense, the opponent only 96 yards, the score is going to be like 50-0 or worse. Especially with 200 yards in gifts from the DV homer ref. You gotta be a newbie to football. The final was 30-22, heck it’s was tied up most of the game. 🤦🏻‍♂️

My nephew went to the game, said both teams are down this year. He told me the Rebels had at least 10 turnovers and they still should've won the game. One completely blown coverage and a reverse that the D-End bit on was the difference in the game. The Rebels are also missing kids because of COVID protocols and haven't played in 2 weeks.

And if that's all true, both teams are really down this year.

Congrats on the win HD, but after the performance last night, I think both teams might need to worry about Burkeville.

I disagree with your nephew. 😬

Evadale had two chances to score in the last two minutes of the first half and were stopped both times by HD defense.

HD is not down this year. They are a young team that is better than it’s been in at least 4 years. They’ll be district champs next year if they can keep this team together. Their main RB didn’t play until 2nd half or score would have been higher.

I can really see HD winning a first round playoff game this year. While it may not be much to a lot of teams, it would be huge for this team going into the offseason.

Good luck to Evadale on the rest of season

Good game Evadale, y’all got some big boys. If Evadale gets the ball to #7 against DV, Evadale may just upset DV. Plus the game is in Evadale. I was more impressed with Evadale, they will be able to match up well with DV’s D-line and O-line. HD coaches finally put the big 3 all on the field together on offense, Freshman Victorian, Sophomore Broussard and Senior Aguirre. HD’s defense looked good, great coaching too, the offensive had to be carried... HD was flat in the 1st half, the Broussard gap was apparent. Evadale’s offensive coach was a great play caller, he owned our coaches with big misdirection TD’s. HD is young, mostly Freshman and Sophomores, not many Seniors or Juniors, future looks bright. Evadale has a well coached and huge team, not sure why #7 is not the showcased RB, he is a great athlete, best on the team by far. Good luck on a healthy rest of the season Rebs.

FYI: HD has a super young team, loaded with 14-15 year year olds mostly, these same kids got their heads kicked in vs one of the toughest Districts in 2A D-1 last season. San Augustine and Groveton etc. HD only has like 4 Seniors, this team could possibly win a playoff game this year, but for sure in the next two seasons.

Well da cats pulled it out. Evadale had some big'ens on da line. HD really won da game on talent alone, not da coaching. Just seems like the HC don't have da no how to finish teams off, way to conservative of a play caller, he needs to remember points count, especially if Evadale upsets DV next week. HD didn't give da ball to either Lamar Jackson look a likes #3 and #2, in the 4th quarter, not one time, if so da score would have been in da 30's, they did dive plays to run clock all 4th quarter. If HD gonna win a playoff game, da offense got to evolve, I did notice ole Corona and 55 got their wish, the big 3 on the field at the same time. There is no reason to ever have your best player on the sideline, just building club houses. No brainer, make da defense worry a little, keep #3 and #2 on the field at the same time, maybe put #3 out wide, he only 6'4 and fast, maybe a reverse sometimes or a streak.

    • He actually had a pretty solid year for a sophomore starting in that district. I can assure you, it hasn't hurt his recruiting at all and that will only improve with the move back to the Wack.
    • If Crumedy eventually has bigger aspirations than being in Jasper, every aspect of the program will be looked at when someone interviews him for any job. He knows that. The mindset needs to be that any time someone wears a Jasper uniform, that they're doing everything they possibly can to win. It matters.
    • This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up It's a poll but I could definitely see this as realistic.   From the article: Catholics in the United States have swung dramatically against President Biden in recent years, now boasting a significant statistical break towards his GOP challenger. Pew Research released on Apr. 30 a report exploring support for presidential candidates sorted by religious affiliation. The poll found that 55% of Catholics support or lean towards supporting former President Donald Trump in a head-to-head against Biden. Conversely, only 45% of Catholics support Biden in the same one-on-one pairing. The 12% margin of support in favor of Trump marks a significant shift from 2020, when he held an extremely narrow lead — 50% to 49%. Biden currently leads among Hispanic Catholics with a narrow 49%-47% split, but the close contest marks a major shift rightward for the demographic. In 2020, a similar poll from Pew Research found Hispanic Catholics preferred Biden to Trump with a staggering 67%-26% split.
    • You said a lot there. Truthfully, that is the root of the issue. Who cares what a kid thinks about how coaches are running a program? Kids play, coaches coach. For some reason, parents have this backward in a lot of places and its wreaking havoc.
    • He's already stated he's a huge Clinton fan.
