Should know by the end of next week.  Current DC Allen Huddleston is the favorite and will inherit a gold mine.  All skill positions coming back and everyone on the state runner up track team will be on the field.  Two defensive ends were the only losses last year I think.  Will be fast on both sides of the ball.  Not to mention their fullback and Tight End will be some bruisers.

I hear former WOS assistant coach Toby Foreman has applied for this job.  Has anyone heard any other names of applicants?

i wouldnt be suprised if HD went all the way this year. its hard to imagine any other 1a teams beating them. they have too many athletes. whoever gets the job should like someone already said will "inhierit a gold mine."

i hope slack gets the job. he was our middle school coach, and i thought he was great. plus i think HD loves him, after his high school career as a player

i think that coach huddleston should get the job and would do great, and i agree hull has a wonderful chance to make a big run this year, and i know WH is their rival but i still see hull winning the game by 28 against WH

Who is Slack?  What does he coach in Hardin?

DC at Hardin this past year.

Will do a great job at HD if given the chance.  He graduated from HD and has strong ties with the community.

AT PRESENT HUDDLESTON IS NOT THE ANSWER, HD NEEDS TO BRING SOMEONE IN THAT CAN MOTIVATE THE KIDS. THEY JUST LOST THEIR HEAD COACH OF SEVEN YEARS. I HAVE SEEN SLACK COACH AT HARDIN, THE KIDS RESPECT HIM. IF THE KIDS RESPECT YOU THEY WILL PLAY HARD FOR YOU. SLACK'S STYLE OF FOOTBALL WILL WORK WELL AT HD. GIVEN A CHANCE HE CAN TAKE HD A LONG WAY THIS YEAR AND FOR YEARS TO COME.

no no no coach hooker H-D aint guna win nothin if the WH oilers have anything to say about it so i think all yall need to quit talkin crap and just show up on game day and see who comes out on top. 28-0 is a long shot for H-D considering that they could not run the ball on us this past year because our defensive line had the run shut down before it got started, also our offensive line had their d-line begging for mercy all night long !!!!! so just meet us at H-D feild on november 2 at seven and we will see who the best team in the district is!!!!!!!!!!!!

there aint no way that H-D is gonna beat W-H we have been to the playoffs 3 out of my four highschool years  there is no question that W-H and H-D will be a good game but H-D aint gonna win by 28 if i have anything to do with it.

p.s. if your boys dont like that tell them to do somthing on the field next year instead of giving up like they did last year.

    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
    • See why I don't trust my Hogs?
    • Come on dude, don’t take anything away from the kids on the field. If you want to talk uncharacteristic, we made what 3 or 4 errors in game one. Y’all had 2 EARNED runs.  Defense is normally our strong suit. Your ace didn’t strike out a single one of our kids. Like I said also, you did not out hit us in game 1. Hell you barley out hit us in game 2. We had all the uncharacteristic walks. Josh pitched a hell of a game is what made that game what it was.
