4.2 3 earn runs 7 hits but threw the ball really well with alot of bloop hits. He got alot of praise by the announcers and compared him to popelbon of the Redsox Closer.

Clay is sooooo awesome!!  He has really worked hard to get where he is today.  If Skip is reading any of this then he knows how much we all think of Clay.  Skip, congrats on raising such a good young man and a wonderful athlete.  This will not be the last we hear of Clay and the Bigs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Clay always worked hard, and was team player. It's was a no brainer that he had the skills to get to this level.

Clay had hit a 2 or 3 run homer early in the game of a BC tournament championship game. Lumberton was down again late in the 7th, 1st base open and Clay comes to back. If I remember, Coach motions to catcher to not to walk him but pitch around him, too much plate.....game over.

Way to go, Clay!  My son had an opportunity to meet Clay while playing a few tournaments with his dad's 16u team and was to say the least, very excited to "hang out" with Clay and to get pointers about the game and his catching ability!  Luke and family are proud to say we know you!  Keep it up, you are an inspiration to the young boys who dream to get where you are!
