Coach Hagquist is still there. I refered to Coach Hallman, because he has been with the kids the longest and knows how to get them motivated. He knows what they are capable of. Just trying to give them some encouragement. Coach Hallman is doing well.

Congrats to Buna. Ya'll played a good game. Hang in there Pirates! You guys remember to stick together, encourage each other and hang in there. Do it for Coach Hallman and yourselves!!!!!

Congrats to the Warriors, they came out ready to play ball. They got some good hits and made the plays on defense. Errors ran wild on the Pirates side. But it happens to any given team on any given day. Best of luck to both teams Friday. Go Pirates!!!!!!!!

(russell ath) YOU guessed wrong. My son started every game. I agree Bickham is a good football coach, but there's more to being a AD than winning football games. There are more sports than just football. If you are on the outside looking in and go by what you read in the paper, yea everything sounds great. If you have a stundent and/or athelete at Deweyville, you have some insight outsiders don't have. It's ashame that some other posters have to resort to name calling our town. Pride is something that has to come from within a person. If you get on the field, court or in the ring, etc....and you give it 110% you should always be proud to be who you are. Team spirit and team pride is something that should go hand and hand. Win or lose people should be able to take pride in themselves and their school. This MAN did not bring pride back to our school. He, the assistant coaches, the team and the fans helped make this a successful season. No one person, coach or player makes or breaks a team.

hopefully Deweyville's AD Bickham will apply and GET the job. He has a year and a half left on his contract and is already looking. He came to Deweyville and coached a group of kids that have been playing together since PeeWee football. He came in and made a reputation off of the hardwork of other coaches and the talent of a group of kids that was destined to be winners.He never intended on staying in Deweyville very long anyway. His kids never came to our school and they never participated in anything with our kids. So that tells me he was never fully commited to our students, athletes, school or community. It's ashame BC didn't pick him. Hopefully he will apply somewhere else and they will take him. Alot of us would love to see him go.

Congrats to Coach Thib. No one could be more deserving. He is a true class act. He is one of the few who actually cares about the kids, both on and off the field. He is an awesome person and coach. His leaving was one of the biggest losses for Deweyville. He should have been AD. We really miss him, but we wish the best for him and his family, no one deserves it more. Way to go Coach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Coach, Mrs. Fuller & Children You are on our prayer list. We see the beginning and try to make our own ending. God knows the end from the beginning. Hang on to your faith in God. He will see you through. He just done a miracle for my niece in her pregnancy with my great nephew. They are both perfectly fine after an 8 month ordeal. If God did it for them HE can do it for ya'll!!! Have faith. Lots of love and prayers from Deweyville.

Way to go Pirates!You guys are looking good. Just remember it takes the WHOLE Team to win. No one can do it by themself. The pitcher's job is to put it in the strike zone and it's the other 8 players job to catch and field the ball. I think the Pirates have the talent to be successfull, as long as they play like a team. Encourage each other, when mistakes are made. If you make the mistake, shake it off and go on.
