Who will be the frontrunner for this job? Shouldn't this be a pretty good job for 2-A?

Easy....Cardinal Supporter. I was just kidding a little about BC being as popular as N.D. or the Cowboys. In fact, I think that its great that the BC faithful are full of passion and support for their team. I wish BC and Coach Stump nothing but the best! I agree with you in that I don't think that you can compare BC and WB. BC will never be WB, but they don't have to be (WB - 5A w/ 2000 + students), (BC -3A w/ 700 + students ???). They only need to compare themselves to other 3A programs like WOS, Silsbee, Orangefield, etc.....

Spread, power I, wishbone, etc.....it doesn't matter! I've heard nothing but good things about Coach Stump, but he's still going to need athletes.....It's not always about the x's and o's. Also, when in the world is this BC talk going to slow.....? It seems as if their as popular as Notre Dame or Dallas? Geez....

Does anyone know if Brian Huckaby got an interview? BC grad with solid credentials.

jacf......I'm not sure if you know Jeff or not....but that's really not important. It's also obvious that he's not your top choice for the BC job. Again, not important. It seems as if all you want to do is bash him or post negative info. about him. If you knew him...you would know that he is a first class person with good morals and values. More importantly, is that he has a heart for kids. That my friend is more important than any won-loss record. Now....about football - Most people that know much about football will tell you that Jeff has done a great job at Vidor. He took over a program that was one of the worst in the state and turned it into a competitive program. Vidor used to be a push-over and while they don't win as often as some would like.....they are definitely competitive. In fact, if you ask area coaches they will tell you that he has over-achieved in Vidor. The fact is this, Vidor doesn't have much talent, but....Jeff seems to get the most out of them each year.

When do interviews start? Does anyone have a list of who has put in for this job?

BC should get many top notch candidates for the AD/HF job.....and I'm sure they'll do whats best for the kids, school, community, etc..... Their have been a few posts about winning with "little talent".......C'mon guys...show me someone that does that! Hooks -- WOS always has and always will have talent. In some years (like this year - 06) they are LOADED! Neauman --He has a great program in place....but, don't let him fool you......they have talent. Barbay -- again...great program....but, above average talent! Lets look at BC.... Conways 1st year they went 0-10 (1st time in school history). Did he have much talent? Don't know....but, hey lets win a lot with a little talent. The next few years he did pretty good. Did they have talent (Peebles, Knight, Woolford, Melich, etc....) or did he do a lot with little? What about Tarver? To me, he did a great job.! But, some people will say that he only did good when he had talent, but ....that he didn't do as well with little talent. Well....hmmm....I see a trend there! C'mon .....Nobody wins alot without talent!
