Evidently, the conservatives are getting their people to the polls. Let's see the end results, then we will see who is laughing.

We've seen the end results of Liberal debauchery in the last decade, culminating in Obama's election with a super majority in Congress. America overwhelming rejected this looney, pathetic, and sanctimonious agenda and is now somewhat righting itself. The evidence is the Liberal agenda losing over 1100 seats since the midterms of Bush II.Nobody was laughing during the lunatic Liberal reign perpetuated by Obama...too much suffering. Now it's just good ol' American values re-asserting itself, stymied by self-righteous elitists pulling the puppet strings of the naïve and ignorant. Thank God the adults are now in charge...although I hold no optimism that the current regime is much better...just enough to right the ship to get us back on the right track. I fear that this track will be short lived, and is not even close to the optimal path. I therefore reiterate my desire for secession, in the strongest possible sense.

Dimms embarrassed again!   I understand this clown got 90% of his money from outside the district.  BTW, a district, I also understand, he didn't even live in!

I guess it's true!  The man could not even vote for himself in the election.  SMH!!

Just wait until next year, right? ...lol

Don't confuse conservatives with liberals, they don't "get" their people to the polls (not even in buses).

Obama's policies have been the most effective cause in getting conservatives to the polls.

Don’t forget: the president needed a supermajority because of the Republicans’ unprecedented use of the filibuster as an obstruction tactic — they’ve used it

But here’s the deal — the real deal — there actually wasn’t a two year supermajority.

 shows the facts.

President Obama was sworn in on January 20, 2009 with just 58 Senators to support his agenda.

He should have had 59, but Republicans contested Al Franken’s election in Minnesota and he didn’t get seated for seven months.

The President’s cause was helped in April when Pennsylvania’s Republican Senator Arlen Specter switched parties.

That gave the President 59 votes — still a vote shy of the super majority.

But one month later, Democratic Senator Byrd of West Virginia was hospitalized and was basically out of commission.

So while the President’s number on paper was 59 Senators — he was really working with just 58 Senators.

Then in July, Minnesota Senator Al Franken was finally sworn in, giving President Obama the magic 60 — but only in theory, because Senator Byrd was still out.

You Guys are full of misinformation!

I'm willing to discuss facts, but I see mostly opinions here.

Perhaps you would like to discuss these facts:  The Repubs won last night in Georgia and South Carolina.  They have a majority in the House, the Senate, and Governors seats.  They also have a plurality in state legislatures.   Do you think there is a message there?

And your point? Why didn't you address the fact that Democrats have lost 1100 seats during Obama's reign? That's a more salient point than debating the technicalities of whether Obama actually had a supermajority for a few less months. And I never said he had a supermajority for a full two years. I just said he had a supermajority. You are trying to argue a point that exists only in your head, then have the nerve to add the condescending qualifier that ironically seems to fit you way better than us.

And would you like to discuss secession? I've stated on here numerous times I'm highly in favor of it, and wish it would happen immediately. I have little hope in America righting the ship from the looney path of Liberalism/Socialism. This is extremely evident right now listening to Conservatives debating on how they want to socialize our healthcare system. And it's typical of a Liberal to try to ridicule a topic through a silly meme. That's the surest way of trying to reveal your feelings without revealing your feelings. You have to have that defense of deniability.

As you know Englebert, I agree wholeheartedly.  Even more so now after watching that video of the Evergreen college students.  If our institutions of higher learning are turning out anarchist like this, I doubt America, as we know it, will last much longer in the scheme of things.

    • I don't completely disagree. Individual drills, running, lifting, etc. I agree are perfectly fine. This incident involved a padded practice where a kid was injured. I just think it would be best for an AD to have the Varsity athletes currently participating in another sport just sit out. It's an activity with a much higher risk of injury. We don't see basketball kids practicing/playing while football season is going on do we? No, because no AD would allow that. Let's have the same common courtesy for the other sports too.
    • Too many people haven’t heard “Dirty Old Egg Sucking Dog” by Johnnie Cash.  Way too many flakey people in this world. Was she fighting dogs to death across state lines? Lots of the people who would condemn Noem  had absolutely no problem with Vick. I guess politics is a whole nother animal.
    • I have some friends whose “fur baby” bit somebody in the face because “she wasn’t feeling good and he was “in her face.”” The young man needed three stitches on his chin. She still growls and snaps at people all of the time… she’s a cocker spaniel with a bad attitude and she bites.    Those same friends are expediting their first actual skin baby this summer… they’re not worried at all, and I’m certain that they’ll be shocked when the dog maims their baby.     God gave us dominion over the animals for instances like this.
    • No argument in your rationale however politics isn’t rational. Said people vote. Those votes don’t have to be approved by a jury deciding if a voter has a valid reason for his beliefs. There are things that I firmly believe but I would never say them, even in private (what is private anymore?) if I ever intended to run for office. It doesn’t matter if my private thoughts could be proven 100% as correct, it still might very likely lose voters and an election.  Maybe you missed the Trump presidency……
    • Well at least she didn't eat the dog. Then again, she might have become president.   I can't believe this went to page 2 without anyone mentioning Obama eating dog meat.
