Shepherd 7 Silsbee 5/Shepherd leads series 1-0

It's playoff time as the Silsbee Tigers take on the Shepherd Pirates in Bi-District play TONIGHT 7:30pm at Kingwood High School in Game 1 of a best of 3 series. Silsbee (12-8-2, 8-4) defeated WO-S 3-1 last Friday to claim the #2 seed in 24-4A while Shepherd (9-10, 7-5) lost to Huffman 10-0 Friday night and is the #3 seed out of 23-4A. These two teams met last year in the first round playing a 1 game series with the Tigers coming out on top 4-1. Silsbee and Shepherd do have a common opponent for this season in the Orangefield Bobcats. Silsbee swept Orangefield in district 7-6, 9-6 while Shepherd lost to Orangefield 10-3. Games 2 and 3 will be played at Vidor HS on Saturday. Winner of this series will face winner of Bellville/Houston Kashmere in Area round.
