It's going to be an interesting week in 24-4A this week. One game to make up already. District track meet and more rain this week. Gonna need some pitching before this is all said and done.

Not going to be good for the teams that have to make up district games.... That will affect their pitcher rotations..... things are getting interesting around the golden triangle :)

San Augustine hosted 4 games one saturday already. Not a turf field, but sits on a hill and rains well.

Tourney games are played during school hours. Not sure if there are different rules for district games. UIL does allow for modifications to make up weather related cancellations.

Lumberton, Marrauder has a turf infield.

I think a complete turf field would be needed to host several games in a day.

 

If went with just a turf infield, Vincent-Beck would be a better host.

Teams will be playing 4 games next week. It's going to put a strain on a pitching staff.

 

If they can tarp the infield, they usually do not care about the outfield conditions. (Those IF guys are prima donnas.)

Marauder Park is only like 290 all
The way around...right field has always been pretty wet and slow to drain. The problem with Lamsr anytime in the near future is home games Friday thru Sunday...I think they are at home the next three weekends with Houston Baptist, Incarnate Word and then SFA

Can anyone think of another season that the weather has affected the area this much?
