AggiesAreWe
A little more history about this rivalry: First game played was in 1922, Silsbee won 24-6. Played just 2 times between 1922-25. Silsbee discontinued their football program from 1926-31 because of a death of a Silsbee player in the last game played in 1925. Silsbee and Jasper played each year from '32-'38 with Jasper holding a 4-3-1 advantage during that span. The series stopped after the '38 season due to an all out brawl by teams and fans in that 1938 game. The rivalry picked back up in 1948 and was then played for 64 consecutive years (1948-2011). The series had a two year hiatus ('12-'13) but now back on with this 2014 season. Between the years 1922 and 1938, these two only played 10 times. From 1948 till current, will have played 65 times. In first 40 games (1922-1977) Silsbee led series 22-17-1. The next 34 games (1977-2011) Jasper definitely had the upper hand going 25-8-1 in those 34 games which currently has them leading series overall, 42-30-2. Silsbee's best run in this series was between 1960-1977. Silsbee won 14 of those 18 games including a 9 game win streak over Jasper between 1960-68. Jasper's best run is from 1978 to current, winning 25 of the 34 games played. (25-8-1) Their longest win streak over Silsbee was 8 games in the years 1990-97. Jasper also went 16-2-1 against Silsbee from 1978-1996. In the last 15 games played, Jasper leads 9-6 (1997-2011)
STiger85
This is the oldest active rivalry in SETX. This rivalry needs no name, simply Silsbee/Jasper. A stop in play for ten years because of a fight, now that's what I call a rivalry. Go Tigers!!! BADSANTA

JB94
Final 48-7 Jasper. After a tough pre-season, I am so proud of the way this Jasper team came together to finish the regular season, undefeated district championship. It's a new season. Let's go have some fun. j_dog
Jasper 503 total yards, with only one pass attempted, it went 60+ yards for a TD. Jasper's starting QB and running backs did not play in the second half. Silsbee 111 total yards if I heard correctly.
Bulldog92
We're peaking at the right time. I can't remember the last time we only threw once in a game. To get over 500 yards that way against anyone when they know we're not gonna throw the ball is impressive, as is the defense we've seen the past few weeks. Those kids are doing a heck of a job.
