Lord, we are thankful and mindful of all things you have given us today. We pray for each and every player that takes the field this weekend. Lord, we ask for hedge of protection around these young men taking the field, and for all the fans, drill teams, bands, and cheerleaders, traveling to and from the games. Give these young men courage to do their very best at what they have been trained to do and play to the very best of their abilities. To play the game with honor, dignity, integrity, and respect for their opponent. To play the game with a clear mind and a strong spirit. Help us to be gracious losers and even more gracious winners. Help us to be mindful not to dishonor you in our actions should we win or lose. In all these things, we give you the praise, honor, and glory. Amen

good prayer, I agree with every bit of your prayer and thank you for praying such a powerful prayer. I pray that these contest will make our children stronger leaders for tomorrow and learn that our Lord is with them always, Through the easy times and through the rough times when they need the faith that our Lord is with us always.
