Who ya got? You really have to hand it to the Giants, 3rd trip in 5 years, against the Royals who haven't been there since 85. I don't think the Royals can run the table, but i'm taking them in 6.

I like the royals, don't like the giants, so it's a no-brainer who I'm rooting for.  but realistically, I don't care much about this series.  it would be nice to see a low-budget, small-market team win one though.

Ditto on all of that. Plus, barring any personal interest (one of my teams or a local kid playing), I generally root for the underdog. I enjoyed watching Brandon Belt in his time in Austin but I will be rooting for him to bat 1.000 and lose the series.

It's that time. Really looking forward to that first pitch, and a great series. Favorite sporting events of the year:
1) CWS,
2) MLB WS,
3) NCAA bowl games, and
4) Super Bowl.

The playoffs have been very good so far. I didn't like having to search for a different channel every night to find the games though. The MLB has TV issues and its showing by their loss of numbers.

Hopefully this series is as good as the other games have been so far. My college roomate was from KC and has always been a big Royals and Chiefs fan even when they have sucked for almost his whole life. I'm rooting for my buddy and the Royals to pull this series out in 7.

I think it will only get worse for MLB. In the fast pace age that we live, baseball is just too slow. I still enjoy watching it but I couldn't get my kid to watch a game unless I paid him.

MadBum pitching a dandy, and the ex-ASTRO provided the first inning lead. Not looking good for the Royals in this first game.

Shields seemed to never find a rythym and MadBum continued to be dominant. I'm looking forward to game 2. I've always enjoyed watching Peavy pitch.
