Schools that have not sent in player nominations, Due by May 15 :

 

Kelly, PNG, Nederland, East Chambers, WestBrook, Kirbyville, Bmt. Central, Woodville, Deweyville, Newton, Bridge City, Big Sandy, High Island, Sabine Pass, Spurger, Hamshire -Fannett, Brookeland, Anahuac, and Leggett

 

Sent email today and no response from these schools as of now.

Is there any criteria for being selected?

If the Coaches nominate them they will be placed on a team. In the past some of the players nominated could not be there due to prier obligations so they did not get to play. No nominated player gets left out, that's why you may see up to 25 players on a team.

this is a great event.  

 

even if you don't have a kid playing it is worth a trip out to the ball park.

Parents, Please don't call, text, or etc. your coaches. They do have a limit of players that they can nominate. TASO calls games for 43 Schools in our area. If the coaches enter 10 players from each school that's 430 players to play in 4 games in 2 days it just can't be done with the amount of money that we have. We don't have big companies donating money to these games ( wish we did but we don't ). The coaches have a hard job of entering just a few players for these games. Now if you own a big company or work for one that would like to donate hundreds or thousands of dollars please contact us. every dollar that we make go's back to the players through scholarships. The umpires donate their time and money for this event.

doesn't TASO also put on a golf tournament sometime during the year?

Yes we will have a golf tourny at Idylwild on July 12th. Would love for some of you SETXSPORTS guys to get a team together and come play. Info at beaumonttaso.org. Plenty of food and drinks included.

I know several that were nominated and still have not heard anything.  I guess they should be hearing something this week?  Will it be by mail or phone call?

It's not just you, Rake1...I haven't been able to find link to roster either.  All I've been able to see is the game times.
