Well I am of the belief that if you don’t have to go both ways then don’t but sometimes you don’t have a choice if you want to be competitive. But of course some positions don’t require as much running as others. I didn’t realize we were missing 4 running backs going into that playoff game last year. That’s a huge hurdle to over come in our offense. I knew our top 2 were out but missing 4 was News to me. Those boys competed regardless. Still come close to pulling it off. The comment from the P.A. Trash Dumpster saying that Chapel Hill held back was BS. I doubt they wanted the Pirates with the ball on there own 20 yard line with a 1st down and 1:15 remaining on the clock with the score being 25 to 20 at that point. Maybe the questionable play calling in that situation had to do with the fact Matthews wasn’t there but they certainly had their opportunity to win that game.
I know Gall, Sepulveda and Watson were out.

Well, I considered that, but I’m not sure about Vidor’s parking situation. Last time I was there parking was horrible.
If parking was taken into account then PNG should not be on the list. Vidor has plenty of parking (at the elementary school across from the high school) you just have to walk but at least you aren't having to park on the street in front of peoples houses.

This may be a Crosby/PNG playoff game from several years ago.

Looks to me like, Lindale has the better team but Owens may be too much to overcome.

Man if LCM defense can shut y’all out WOS is going to do the same thing. Save your money next Friday and take your wife out to a movie.
What I saw from the Jasper game last night, their offense has gotten better since they played Vidor and LCM.

Can’t imagine the Pirates not being up for this game, but with all the subs, we’ll need a 110% out of everyone.
One common opponent, Livingston. Here you have to realize the situation at the time. They beat Livingston 35-15, but the Lions still had their stud QB. Vidor beat them 40-7 and the Lions without their QB. Even here, Vidor had 40 at the end of the 3rd Qtr, so Matthews played Subs in the fourth. Based on all that, it’s hard to get a significant handle on who might have the advantage.
I’d love to hear from @Lions Pride 2021 or anyone who might have seen both teams play, and get their take on this matchup.
TCH still had their qb (whom is no longer on the team) too.

I thought the 2nd round seed would get that district?
Ya'll would play the winner between Columbia the 4th place team from that district and North Forest. Brazosport beat Columbia to get the 3rd spot.

Me too but the Raiders might be able to hang with them, they are a high flying circus. The only thing they stopped doing was throwing the deep ball up so much and started settling for more underneath routes. Vidor started playing back some after getting burned 75 million times but I would have kept doing it.
To me it was, you are up 13pts late in the third and you stop trying to run the ball.

I figured you should do something you enjoy because not sure how much fun it'll be for Lumberton fans at the game.
Yeah, Vidor's defense is better too.

@vp93I miss our times from 4-6 years ago! Don’t feel the same this year. A lot quieter and feelings a lot softer!
You would love to walk into work and see that black and gold decorating your office!

The banged up backfield hurt Vidor. Defense played good though.

Better than ever, and ready to coach these Mustangs to a Championship . Thank you for asking now go back and rank my video because...I don’t believe nobody in Texas except for maybe Katy, North Shore, and THE WEST ORANGE STARK MUSTANGS, has been ranked NATIONALLY!! Mic Drop!
You left several off.. Westlake, LT, SLC, Allen, Aledo, Carthage. I'm sure I have missed some but all of these have been ranked nationally multiple years since WOS.

You’re right about bad snaps. Lions had several plus off the mark pitches, fumbles, int. Their offense definitely had issues. Your prediction seems about right unless they really improve in a weeks time.
I think #99 has a lot to do with the bad snaps. Everyone we have played this year has had bad snaps.

Chapel Hill had been ranked highly until Lindale started their losing streak. They have played the top 2 (Lindale and Kilgor) along with the bottom (Athens). The last game they started a freshman at qb and rb. Their coach is also the old Crosby head coach Riordan. So, he knows Vidor and vice versa.

HH is looking very soft on the o-line, they aren't blocking anyone.

I don’t really like that call, excessive celebration when you finally score the only points of a hard fought game. But maybe a player took it too far and did something egregious. Definitely worked in the Pirates favor though the way they enforced it plus we got 5 more yards tacked on to the end for an offsides on the kickoff. Vidor still doesn’t score though if Jasper doesn’t commit a foul on the incomplete pass at the end. It would have been 4th and 14 without the penalty, they should have left the QB alone that pass play had no chance.
It was because 2 players took off their helmets, which is a penalty.

That was the Freshman score. The JV was 16 -0 Vidor in the 2nd. I left when they had the lightening delay. I don't think they finished it.
