I guess so. It never was 42-7 for 1. It was 35-14 before they threw the hail Mary at the end of the 1st half. They were subbing on their defense from the first series. Nothing changed that way the entire game.

My opinion is that it's hard to get better teams to play in non district due to the offense Vidor runs. There's just not much value for other teams, not many teams run the wing t, so it will not benefit them later in the season.

Yup, defense is a problem. Though 2 of the fumbles were deep in the Pirates own territory. If you take the three fumbles that they scored off of away that's 28 pts. Then you add on the time that Vidor could potentially ate off the clock (without the fumbles) with those drives, there's a case that they would have scored less than that. Point is against good teams you can't have turnovers and penalties.

The school does not get to pick their schedule in district.

The difference in this game was 3 fumbles.

I would say coaching wise is pretty close. I have seen more of WOS, so maybe HF was off against Jasper? I wasn't impressed with either teams game plan in that game.

What I've seen of HF and WOS, WOS is the better team.

Yeah, I doubt Vidor will pass that much on a game that matters.

Brazosport should not score. Silsbee should be able to score a much as they want.

CH beat them 79-45 and Kilgor beat them 49-35. Kilgor and CH play one another this week for the 1 and 2 seed.

I that seeding wise it would benefit Vidor more if Lumberton would win out of course saying Vidor wins out too. The three way tie break wouldn't work out in Vidor's favor, guessing its 17pts tops as usual. So even if lcm were to blow out Lumberton , doubtfull( Vidor +7, -17= -10; lcm -7 +17=+10; Lumberton +17-17=0) Lcm would be 1st seed, Lumberton 2nd seed and Vidor would be 3rd. So no matter the score, if LCM beats Lumberton Vidor can be no higher than the 3 seed.

I would argue that the reason the passing game wasn't sharp, was that they didn't get in rhythm (due to Vidor getting 3+yrds a pop). They weren't on the field enough to get clicking.

Actually Vidor threw 2 ints against LCM, but not every turnover is the same.

I believe that Vidor will be fine once district starts. They have some holes to fill and things to figure out but they are getting there, it's not where you start is where you finish. I think that the 2 teams they have faced thus far are better then the teams we had played at this point last year. These games mean nothing, until district.
