GREAT football camp coming BACK to Beaumont
thetragichippy replied to ljeicp08's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Will be registering my Son today. Decided on this over the Lamar camp because of the hours (9a-9p on Saturday). Plus, they have classroom training....... I spoke with one of the Coaches a couple days ago and he seemed like a stand up guy. Looking forward to my son having a blast! -

Really nice guy! [Hidden Content] He was the first Denver Bronco player. Austin (Goose) Gonsoulin (Defensive Back) was an All-AFL defensive back for the Denver Broncos in 1960 (with 11 interceptions), 1962 and 1963, and an AFL Western Division All-Star in 1961, 1964, and 1966. His eleven interceptions in 1960 are still a franchise record. After his last season in the American Football League in 1966, he was the league's all-time leader in interceptions, with forty. In 1970 Gonsoulin was selected as a defensive back on the Second Team, All-Time All-AFL.

Can you give us an update of how many boats? -
Just by the nature of the question, this is a very subjective and opinion oriented thread. With the notable exception of the Smith brothers and Gaspard, most all the names that I recognize were offensive skill position players.
As a fan most will remember the guy that makes the touchdowns........not the ones that prevent them. NOT TAKING ANYTHING AWAY FROM DEFENSIVE PLAYERS!!

Thanks
It looks like more than yours was deleted............and reading yours this morning, it seemed to fall within the rules of the forum.

I am wanting to make a raft to float down the creek. I have been looking a different options, but something I did not realize is the state now wants just about everything registered. For example, if I ducktape a bunch of plastic bottles to 3 or 4 - 8 ft 2X4's , put a trolling motor on it......I have to pay $32.00 a year and have it registered..........to me, thats stupid. read below: The following vessels (when on Texas public water) are required by law to have current registration. This includes vessels that are docked or moored: All motorized boats, regardless of length (motorized boats include boats propelled by a trolling motor); and All sailboats 14 feet in length or longer or any sailboat with an auxiliary engine(s); and USCG Documented vessels. Exempted vessels — All (non-motorized) canoes, kayaks, punts, rowboats, or rubber rafts (regardless of length) when paddled, poled, or oared; sailboats under 14 feet in length when windblown; USCG documented commercial vessels used in coastal shipping; and USCG documented vessels exceeding 115 feet in length.

With all the talent (coaches and players), why is there not a full contact football camp in our area? I'm sure it's not for lack of participation.......or is it?

Memorial Field Turf
thetragichippy replied to Mr. Buddy Garrity's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Visiting my parents Sunday I stopped and looked at the field. It has the white tarp on it, so really could not see much. Thats the first time I been back at the H.S. in 15 years. Brought back lots of memories. What are they going to use the school for now? It's got a huge Gym and Auditorium? -
