  1. What about Labarron being completely left off!?!? Boyd got 1st team QB and a QB from an 0-10 team got 2nd team.....

Must not have watched the QB from that 0-10 team. It sucks he had to endure that season. I'd take him on my team in a heart beat. He's a straight up player.

  2. Adam Morse, Caisen Sullivan, Justin Carr, Austin Krautz, Kendrick King, and Mason Sikes are the area kids I know of off hand. I may be leaving someone off. I know there's a couple Crosby kids also. They have quite a few triangle kids coming back also in Nelson, Randle, Barret, Johnson, Treadway, Adams, Cothen, Swinton, Gieseke, McGee, Moss, Couron, Abbott, and C. Carr. I'm sure I'm also leaving some off here. The staff is doing better than some people think at bringing local talent in. You can't get all the big fish and some of the smaller fish's family think they're bigger fish than they really are. I'd say Lamar is doing a decent job of local recruiting. You also don't get to see some of the "can't miss" kid's ACT scores. ;-)

  3. Arkansas continued to do in-home visits with several top prospects this week.

Hogs running backs coach Jemal Singleton and defensive backs coach Clay Jennings made an in-home visit with running back target Devwah Whaley of Beaumont, (Texas) Central Wednesday night. Coach Bret Bielema will make an in-home next week.

Not that it's out, Baylor offensive line commitment Patrick Hudson of Silsbee, Texas is one of the highly recruited prospects I've mentioned here a couple months ago that planned to make an official visit to Fayetteville. Offensive line Coach Sam Pittman visited him Monday school.

  4. Buddy, just for you, a Hawg coaching staff member was in town today but maybe that's just coincidence...wink, wink.

    WPS!!!

  5. Talked to mason today...said he was gonna..and lumberton's #25 Trayce Gray is a very good lb...should get a good offer from somewhere

Sikes verbally committed on Dec 1st when coaches Langston and Woodard came up to the school to offer him. He wants to major in Engineering and there isn't a much better place to do so. He's going to be a Cardinal. Peck 'em!!

  6. I know everyone knows but they haven't published it for some reason. Coach Babin got Coach of the Year. For the Raiders it is as follows:

First team offense: Rhodes RB, Sikes TE, and Boykin Utility

    First team defense: LeBlanc DE

Second team offense: Rivette OG and Thomas FB

Second team defense: Willis DB, Mott DT, and Gray LB

Honorable mention offense: White C, Belk OG, and Yarbro QB

Honorable mention defense: Ward P, Dear DB, and Johnson ILB

  7. The Raiders are losing a TON this year via graduation. Coach has the kids buying in tho. He came at the perfect time IMHO. The program will need his boost next year. Congrats on a great season. The kids played their tails off. I appreciate the kids that stuck around to see this thing to fruition instead of leaving with some of their friends to greener "pastures". THAT shows great integrity. On to basketball. ;-)
