  1. I never claimed to be the expert. You started that statement off with an excuse : "The Raiders didn't have much to play for against the Bulldogs and that's exactly how they played".  That is were I called b.s.

No excuses intended bud. They got beat and it wasn't as close as the scoreboard showed. They played uninspired and there is no excuse for that.

  2. Bull pucky.  They had a chance at part of the district title if the other games had lined up right and to also make a statement against a team that has won district the last five years.  They got beat straight up.

I think my post states that they got beat straight up. I said they got pushed around on both sides of ball on the line. They came out extremely flat and uninspired. I haven't seen that all year, but I guess you're the expert on all things Raiders. Please enlighten me.

  3. The Raiders didn't have much to play for against the Bulldogs and that's exactly how they played. They got pushed around on the line on both sides of the ball. That's the first time this year I've seen that. Hopefully it was an aberration. I fully expect it was. Hopefully their big tackle is ready this Friday. They will give Crosby everything they have. These seniors won't go out without a fight.

  4. I feel that a congrats is in order for lumberton making the playoffs, but respect is earned not givin. I know yall got a shot at nederland, like everyone else in dist. We could have lost some games. Note I said could have. Lumberton seems to be on the right track and only time will tell. Now you wanna talk trash to the king of the hill, that is great. But just be careful what you say cause its a hard struggle to eat those words. Just act like you have been there before. I still think the dogs gonna take this one, but if lumberton wins I will give props

I feel you should probably Google "trash talk" and read the definition. You seem completely confused on the meaning.

  5. This is truly a terrible tragedy. My prayers go out to both families. On a side note, I don't understand why people always want to control content when we all have the ability to NOT click on something we don't want to see. Kinda like the remote with your TV. If you don't like something, change the channel. Censorship is a communist tool. Also, please give financial support if you are able to the family in this terrible time. They don't need to be worrying over the financial side of this ordeal. They need time to heal.

  6. No, Ned is pretty even also.  You do not see a 1400 yd difference between passing and rushing for Ned and PNG that you see for Lumberton or the 1500 yd difference for Vidor.

All this proves is that Lumberton has a pretty good offense. When you have more rushing yards than passing, I would assume you would be considered run first but the attempts aren't listed so I'm not sure. Saying Lumberton's offense looks like Vidor's is still way off base. Even more so after looking at the stats you listed. 94 yards passing on the year vs 795 really?

  7. The comparison was the offenses being more run oriented vs pass oriented.  Not the the type of offense that is run.  Both Lumberton and Vidor run first pass second.

Every offense in our district is run first besides basically PNG and they aren't averse to running the ball either. Saying they look they look a lot alike based on the fact they are both run first is absurd imho.

  8. Lumberton looks a lot like Vidor,  key on the RBs and make them pass.  They have had only two games with over a 100yds passing with 179 being the most vs Ozen.   Play assignment football on defense and don't let the RBs get loose.   As far as offense goes for Ned,  pound the rock with Krautz and company.  Lum defenses gives up a lot of rushing yards.

I stopped reading this ridiculous post after the first 6 words. They're offenses couldn't be more different. Jeez. SMDH

  9. Everyone always has a chance to beat someone, but  ... on our Senior Night .... in OUR Stadium .... in front of BULLDOG NATION watching....smh ....comical at best.  Nederland will finish off Lumberton and start preparing for our Bi-District opponent. The pressure will be too much for the raiders and the DOGS will keep that little "choo-choo"  horn pretty quiet come Friday night. Get ready for BULLDOG NATION!

    GO  BULLDOGS !!!!

I'm not sure where this pressure you speak of would be coming from. Please enlighten me.

  10. Upon looking a little closer at this year so far in District, here is my honest evaluation of this game.. Everyone says Vidor's offense can't be stopped. But I say the same for Lumberton's too.. The only team Vidor scored more points on than we did was Lee with 83 points (which is crazy! lol), but we still scored 58 so we weren't far behind. Ozen, vidor scored 28, we scored 51. The other games have been pretty even, we tied on points scored against Central, and we had 1 more point against GCM so pretty even there too... So it's a toss up on who's offense is better..

Defense wise, it's a no brainer. Against Lee vidor allowed 54, us 36.. Ozen they allowed 42, us 29.. GCM they allowed 24, us 14.. And Central they allowed 36 to our 28 allowed.. So against same opponents our defense is clearly the better unit..

So, the key to this game is will our defense make enough stops against their offense.... Because I don't see their defense stopping our offense, especially with most everyone healthy. With all the crap talking going on here, I think we can all agree that this will be a good game. And I don't think either team is the clear winner, although I do 100% believe Lumberton will pull it off. Good luck to all and let the pads do the talking!

The 58 scored against Lee was also at their place on their homecoming. The 83 Vidor scored was a home game for Vidor.
