I'm glad u understand KT. I know him too.and he truly loves these kids and want the best for them and the program.i truly believe he's not just trying throw sluggs at the coaches.but, he hates the fact that u bring in a new coaching staff.and want them to learn everything they want in a couple months.its impossible!!and ik a few kids reaches out to him bcz, they're confused.well, that comes from the heart with him.u have to remember these kids are just 15 16 17 yrs old.its no way they can learn this that quick.and they have been running something since they were in diapers.smh. everyone loses here.the community, players, and coaches.and then the supertendent went the wrong way on hiring him.makes me think he was setting him up.and I truly believe it will get worse bf it gets better!!

regardless of what people may think KT was an absolute monster for us during the 97 & 98 WOS football seasons. He was the back up QB as well but Cornel used his heart & determination to be a hybrid at the Rover End in the 50 defense (which is basically a defensive back in a nickel package/defense). He was a unanimous AllState selection despite his stature.
I remain quiet on alot that's spoken here because much of what some of you say isn't worth a wet roll of toilet paper. Lol
But I will say this - my main gripe was "be careful what you ask for" when there became an outcry to run CT out of town. Now kids can't even line up properly, at times looking completely lost as if they aren't even coached up in practice. I'm baffled how all of a sudden the WOS defense cant tackle, defend the deep ball, or control the line of scrimmage on either side.

I agree completely about student athletes NOT being called out. They’re kids.
I’ll abide by the rule about coaches, but it’s dumb.
If a man wants to take on the role of coaching with all of its financial rewards, prestige, power, etc… and expects to bask in the glory and praise after wins, he/she should have to face the criticism when it comes. There’s a big difference between criticizing a kid who threw a pick versus criticizing a highly paid professional who made a questionable play call, or is even having problems after deciding to install a new philosophy despite the old one being pretty doggone effective. Should people stick “for sale” signs in his yard? Absolutely not. But should that man be spared from any form of criticism, too? I don’t think so.

Toby has sent something like 30-40 kids to school on FULL RIDES. He is very involved with the track program which anybody will tell you, a good track team correlates to a good football team. He is well connected and respected by college coaches.

Bingo!
Hey @BMTSoulja1 when Toby got to Central didn't yall have a spark in numbers of players getting major offers?
he's done the same at Shoemaker.

I didn’t know Todd Dodge was the head coach at PNG!
Then he goes on bashing T because at 5’7, 150 lb at DE he couldn’t get a scholarship.
He has passion for the silver and blue, but damn, the more he ranted, the goofier he sounded.

Right on. I heard Hickman was going to be the next HC at WOS back in 2020. How can that be when Thompson hadn't even decided to retire, yet?
We SHOULD NOT be rebuilding. I keep hearing that. We had a ton of talent returning. This should have been a continuation, not a rebuilding.

I cannot condone this, but I understand his pov.
Yep. It's like that. What he says he means. No lie, he has done everything that he said. And will continue to push this issue. I know all the people he spoke on. And all of them I've spoke with agree. I had a 5 minute speech prepared too. Should've been right there behind Eric and Doobie. But life happened that day and I couldn't get my voice heard for those I represent. Most of us all jumped on the bandwagon and supported everyone in hopes that the man would continue the historic tradition that is WOS Football. Now that is in question.
Record in 2018 was also 2-3 after the 1st 5 games. But we saw progress, halftime adjustments, changes for the better.
For those that want to wait til after district, or after the playoffs, or after basketball season, or after graduation, or after another 6 years here. To decide if it's gonna work. Hey I'll be here then too.
Like KT said have a good Saturday, at least what's left of it.

Just need to admit it was a bad hire. You don't go from the team you had last year, return a good portion of players and then take a BIG step in the wrong direction. All he had to do was keep what was in place and coach his tail off. He didn't have to change ANYTHING in that program!

I get it, but there were some other factors included in the demise of LM falling apart.

Didn’t go to school in SETX. But I would agree historically LCM and Orangefield have comparable programs. I.E., not on the same planet as WOS.

So that wasn’t a close game into the 4th quarter? Having a hall of fame coach with a rings on both hands couldn’t have made a difference in a close game? Got it.
I know the two schools in your handle don’t exactly have a rich history of football success but c’mon man.

8/8 return on both sides of the ball. Not young. 26 PPG. School record. That all ill say to avoid being "unsupportive".

You know don't tarnish your win. We at WOS know how to lose with grace. Try some.

JK Dobbins had less than 50 yards against Coach T defense. He plays well on Sundays (when healthy) A Coach Thompson defense would not have let this happen

They’ll drop to 3A D1 and have some playoff success.
The scary part is that it won’t be role players jumping ship, it’ll be the cream.

Were you at the meetings when WOS had a C rating in 2019 (no ratings the last two years with COVID), but had a better football team? Or is the B they got in 2022 only a problem because the football team is struggling? Honest question. Because if you ask me, bringing their academic rating up from a C to a B despite the challenges of learning through COVID is quite an accomplishment, and should be celebrated.
