Carthage D line is the best in 4A Ā and can stop Belleville running attack. Not saying if they meet that Belleville canā€™t beat a very young Dawg team, but they better be able to throw the ball.

Didn't that vaunted Carthage D just give up 31 to PG? Yeah, you're world beaters...šŸ¤Ŗ

Iā€™m not saying this to compare him to Miller. Those kids you mentioned were good.. but not as good as this kid. Did Notre Dame, Alabama, Oregon, Texas A&M, Texas (Just to name a few) all offer Morris Joseph and 90 for LCM? Where they top 150 recruits nationally? So I respectively disagree with your assessment of there are plenty of 99s out there because there arenā€™t. If Iā€™m wrong please correct me

Morris Joseph just finished his career at Auburn.

As Iā€™ve saidā€¦ we are comparing a kid thatā€™s a DT to a kid that plays WR/RB/DBā€¦ itā€™s not a fair comparison really lol

I agree to an extent. "Best player" to me equates to the biggest impact. In that regard, a DT who takes every defensive snap, if he's truly THAT good can have as much or more impact than a WR/RB who will not touch the ball every down.

Find the "derogatory remark" that I made towards Silsbee or a Silsbee player. Saying "a team will get beat" is not derogatory. Nor is saying that #99 is going to be the best player on the field. If you check the transcripts, every comment I make is in response to a similar (but illogical and unsubstantiated) comment by a previous poster.Ā

You should not convolute "disagreement" with "derogatory". Silsbee fans have been making ridiculous statements about Bellville for weeks and the chickens are about to come home to roost. If Silsbee wins, you folks can come on here and let me have it.Ā

I just want to address one part of this. #99 is good, no doubt. If Miller is 100% healthy, 99 won't be anywhere close to being the best player on the field. I've seen Miller completely take over games. He will be the best player without question.

  5. My gut tells me that Belville takes this one. Belville is disciplined and they have some horses this year to go along with that offense. Problem is, with that offense, teams can look unbeatable until you run up against a team with equal or better athleticism that can stop it. Back in the CT days we did it regularly. 21 Belville and 16 Geronimo Navarro come to mind. Teams on a roll that appeared unstoppable, but got smoked when they ran into a team capable of stopping that offense.

Can Silsbee play disciplined enough offensively and especially defensively to stop the Belville Slot? Is Belville's defense really that good or is it a beneficiary of a good offense? More importantly, will they have the horses to stay on the field with Silsbees horses? Will Miller play and will Miller be Miller? If Miller is Miller the rest of the Silsbee supporting cast will be better as well.Ā

Lots of "ifs" going into it.

    Totally agreed with you!Ā

Look at PNG last year what Todd Dodge did for them as consultant.

It will worth a try to get him because WOS have the athletic kids that could help them better plus get back the program.

I think that's an outstanding idea and it's not like the school couldn't afford it based on the triple story press boxes and multi million dollar event centers that are going up on campus. The problem is that Dodge probably wouldn't agree to it if he could only pick a Black man and that's what is behind this whole charade.Ā

It's funny, I was talking to one of my closest Mustang buddies (who happens to be a black man) and we never cared what color our coach was when we were playing. Most of our Mustang brothers want the program we bled for back. It's doesn't matter in the least what race the man is. We've never cared about that. It's the outsiders that have infiltrated this community or people who never knew what it was to be a Mustang that have injected this worldly concept into our program. It's like a cancer.

NFHS and Texan Live have all broadcast rights to playoff games. If one of these two entities are doing a game, UIL can deny any other video stream broadcast for that game.

In this case, I believe Huffman's stadium is set up with a Hudl camera and they have a contract with NFHS. The game can be seen on the NFHS network. This is why the Bellville video broadcast was denied. Same for Jasper last night.

    Audio only broadcast is permitted.

So it CAN be seen on NFHS?

As a Bellville fanā€¦. Iā€™d say your Jumping it a tonā€¦ Iā€™ve watched every Bellville game and Iā€™m still curious how this week will go vs WOSā€¦ IMO we just havenā€™t played anyone that will punch us in the mouth. If Bellville made it past the third round I would honestly be very surprised and Iā€™m just being bluntā€¦ Now if we come out and beat WOS by 3-4 TDs Iā€™ll be a little more confident after that but I donā€™t think that will be the case. As far as Carthage goes you would be better off thinking about Silsbee or Cuero šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

If I were a Belville fan, I'd be scared to death of this game. All five WOS losses could've gone either way.

Problem for WOS is that their coaches have not shown the ability to win big games. In game adjustments in heavily contested games are non existent. We're still lining our OLB on the inside consistently and literally gifting the edge every game. Still doing as of the HJ game. Still giving up huge plays to the outside.

If they've learned anything (which they havent shown they have yet) Belville could be in trouble. If they havent (the most likely scenario). Then it will be very close with WOS probably holding the lead for much of the game, only to lose late or in OT.
