  1. Delbert must have still been there in Barrows 1st 2 seasons because since he retired they have been awful
  2. Thanks. Neumann must of still been there. I know they didn’t play good defense when Barrow took over and Rich’s 1st 2 seasons have been bad defenses
  3. I was at that game and Georgetown destroyed the Bulldogs. It wasn’t even close
  4. Anyone know when Nederland last fielded a good defense. I know it had to be before 2007
  5. I will say that Coach Rich and the staff have the Dogs playing hard and not giving up. We saw 2 nice offenses and 2 of the worst defenses in district. Looks like the Dogs are going to have a tough road to make the playoffs this season. Hopefully they can beat West Fork and Lake Creek and come in 5th. I would like to believe they could upset Huntsville or Montgomery or both, however after seeing their defense tonight I just don’t think it is going to happen
  6. I thought after the Lumberton and WOS games that Big Ned’s defense was going to be good. Boy I missed that one badly, they are absolutely horrible poor tackling making Dayton’s RB look like an all American He is good, but not that good
  7. All you want to do is make excuses. They didn’t make the playoffs, so quit making the excuse that injuries were the cause of it. You don’t know if that is the case or not. You need to change AggiesAreWe to EXCUSEMAKER!!!
  8. Keep making your excuses, they could have stayed healthy the entire season and still not made the playoffs None of us know the answer to that All MLB teams have injuries, but you just want to make excuses They didn’t make it this season, maybe next I I guess I am going to check your intellect, since you seem to keep believing they made the playoffs Uou must be dreaming
  9. I am a fan that likes to win, tells it like it is, and doesn’t make excuses to why they didn’t make the playoffs They didn’t make the playoffs because they didn’t play well enough I am happy about their past several seasons of success, but I don’t live in the past. I live in the now and they did not play well enough this season Call me a less than average fan, that is fine and I will call myself a realistic fan
  10. According to MLB Cleveland won 88. Detroit and Houston 87. Who is going to the playoffs Houston or Detroit Can you say Detroit so you have to give them the advantage Does not appear that your math is very good , but hey your a great stat man and an excellent excuse maker on injuries and so yes they are 7 of 15 which again is average
  11. How do you figure only 4 teams had a better record You had 3 divisional champions with better records and 3 wild cards with a better record. That my friend appears to be 6. They were 7 out of 15 in the AL. That my friend is average They are not in the NL so just forget about counting that They have been very good the past several years, just not this year
  12. I simply will have to disagree with you Sousa and Garcia. Just not that good IMO. The other 4 were tough injuries, although Alvarez stays hurt. He has been injured a bunch the past 2 seasons. They need to find the cause of his physical problems
  13. You are correct, they had a lot of injuries, but not at the same time and the players you just mentioned were just not that good. Brown, Hader, Abreu yes, the others you mentioned Sousa, Walter, Garcia no. Dezenzo no. Those guys were average I don’t care what stat you give - they were average
  14. Excellent list of season injuries AggiesAreWe IMO Arrighetti and Hader highly missed, the others average pitchers at best Paredes, Pena, Meyers, and Alvarez highly missed, the others average at best They finished 7 of 15 AL teams, middle of the pack, I think I would call that average Now I know you can’t wait to call this negative, however that is honest facts of the season
  15. Would love to see the Bulldogs win, but they are going to have to play really good on defense and the offense is going to have to move the ball better Going to be a tough game
  16. Great news the Dogs found a passing game tonight. Sure hope they beat Dayton next week. Going to have to have a good defensive plan
  17. The truth just eats y’all up. I apologize, I have forgotten that some on here do not understand what they are looking at during a game They can’t tell you that was a trap and what type of trap or maybe what type of defense stunt was called
  18. Yes it certainly is a nice win for Houston. Valdez finally pitches well again and he gets much needed run support When this happens you usually win. Now they need a sweep and help to get in
  19. I have not called anyone stupid or ignorant or negative That would be you folks calling me that. I am glad you believe in the Astros, however that doesn’t mean that they are playing well. When I state that they are not, all these excuses for the team not playing well come out It is good to believe and be loyal as a fan, but to not recognize when they are not playing well IMO doesn’t make sense
  20. Was there ignorance in those comments? Absolutely not! The Astros have done very well the past several Years. They simply didn’t get the job done this year. The sad part of some other posts is that you want to look at the past and not at the present They had a bad season with injuries, no one knows whether they have won or not. They may have, but it didn’t happen that way. There is no reason for excuses. Just say they didn’t get it done The one thing that I am definitely finding out for all the ones that want to call my comments ignorant or that my posts are always negative is that these fine folks know very little about athletics They may not watch the games or may not recognize what is going on or simply don’t understand what it takes to win
  21. I knew it. It didn’t take you long to make excuses. Correct me if I am wrong, but weren’t the players they called up pros They had 1 reliable starter Brown and 1 reliable closer Hader and that was basically it on the mound Pena good season hitting, Meyers his best ever Alvarez good hitter but stays injured Altuve had an off year. Other than those no one stepped up at the plate especially with RISP Simply face the fact that they didn’t get it done this season. They did not play well enough These puppy dog tears of injuries and excuses are getting ridiculous
  22. Glad to see them healing up and hopefully they can help the Astros next season IMO they better find a GM. This one did little during the off season to bring in quality players. They started the season with very few decent pitchers and finished the season that way and they simply couldn’t hit with RISP They simply played bad after the all star break Absolutely no excuses about injuries, they happen to every team and don’t bother me with stats because it is about which teams win more games
  23. I hope he does and stays healthy because the backup runs like he is on the JV team
  24. Stick a fork in them their done!
  25. Nederland 14-7
