Surprise, surprise, surprise the Cardinals did it. Four wins in a row with an excellent effort today to make it to the championship series. I hope I am wrong about SEL beating McNeese so the Cardinals host the series. I also hope they make it to the regionals. It has been a long long time. I think myrecordwashorrible pulled them through The only negative was like the home series vs #9 Oregon State, the attendance looked very poor. It didn’t appear on TV that they had more than 500 in attendance Also aggiesarewe still struggles reading a post. I posted don’t be surprised if they go 2 and done, I didn’t say they were going to go o-2

Great win tonight. Play well tomorrow and the 1 and 2 seeds will play in the championship series. SEL will beat McNeese tomorrow, so let’s get those bats and defense going tomorrow Cardinals

Hallelujah they held on for a win. Now must get the bats going if they want to make it to the championship series. Must win 3 more If they can get bats going they have a chance. UTRGV and SFA are the 2 teams I was most worried about

I believe I posted do not be surprised if Lamar goes 2 and done. In all the years Davis has been there, how many conference tournament games has he won(2 or 3)

It didn’t matter what players they played today. They didn’t look good and have you looked at Davis record vs these 3 teams and most importantly at his record in conference tournaments They are not very good. That is why I said don’t be surprised if they don’t make it to the championship series!

After watching Lamar vs HCU today and realizing that they rarely play well vs the 3 teams in their bracket, I do not believe they have much of a chance to make it to the championship series. In fact the way they have played in conference tournaments under Davis, do not be surprised if they go 0-2 in the tournament

Looks like 7 more games and pack the bags for the summer Another disappointing season under Davis leadership

No pitching. Management, especially GM did nothing in offseason to help with pitching. Evidently the pitching coach is not very good. They may lead the majors in walking people. The bullpen may be the weakest in the majors and with Brown out no decent starters. May wind up in last place this season

Just don’t understand the Cardinals. They played really good vs Northwestern but can’t beat the last place team in the conference. It appears they tend to play to the level of competition Hopefully they will win the next 2

I apologize for the doubting. Boy, the way they played against Nichols and BYU, I thought for sure they couldn’t get it done. I screwed the pooch. I hope they finish the season like they played vs Northwestern

Lose to BYU 4-0. Appears that the Cardinals are getting worse as the season wears on. They have 12 conference games left and 3 non conference games. IMO, they go 5-10 and then 2 quick losses in conference tournament and head home for the summer. 19-18 now and look for them to be about 24-28 for the season before the SLC tournament. I would say a disappointing season when the hopes were high. They just don’t hit very well and the pitching staff is below average. Just my opinion after watching them

Finally looked like a team today. If they continue to play like today they have a good chance. If they play like they did yesterday they have no chance

Well I watched the game tonight and Lamar looked like a D2 team. The 3rd baseman cost them 4 runs by not catching a routine foul ball with 2 outs. The pitchers throw more balls than they do strikes. The hitters strike out way way too many times. They have not even played the 2 better teams in conference yet. I think we can safely say that it will be another year of no conference championship and we know how bad they play in the conference tournament They will be lucky to finish 500. How long are they going to keep Davis?

I believe I said at the end of last season that the GM should have been fired. He did absolutely nothing in the off season to acquire a good pitching staff

Watching the Astros vs the A’s and can’t understand why they kept Javier. He is not any good and the bullpen may possibly be the worst in the major league. I will say Diaz mistake cost them 6 runs

Lamar has struggled the past 3 games. Way too many errors, haven’t scored a run vs OS, and pitching staff is struggling, especially bullpen. They may be leading the nation in giving up walks

Yes good win and you are correct that is 2 games in a row where Abreu has had bad outings
