Well im pretty old, and was in high school then Monday morning our principal  came over the speaker with the typical news. Then said if anyone needs him he would be meeting PNG staff to smoke a peace pipe. Everyone started laughing. Those were good times.  

Im hearing the mascots are meeting at the 50 yard line in honor of what took place 26 years ago the mascot brawl😂 

Id have to disagree with that comment. He would probably be  6 or 7 top qb that came through.

Surely the premier 4A game this week.  Imo this game fits the old adage, He who makes the fewest mistakes wins the game.  We’re talking fumbles, interceptions, crucial penalties (especially the dumb, needless, unsportsmanlike conduct/personal foul).  Lumberton has to man up & stay in check.  Forget needless remarks or incidental pokes & pinches.  Usually the one retaliating gets the flag.  They’ll get caught sooner or later.  You can win but make no mistake, these guys aren’t just good, they’re very good.  Raiders just need to be a cat hair better.

I've had my eye on Lumberton for several weeks now and they have not disappointed. Very good football team on both sides of the football. A district championship and 3rd round playoff appearance echoes that. Historic territory for L-town. I think Lumberton is capable of winning this game.
That said.... Chapel Hill is a dangerous animal. They may look sloppy on film a lot of the time with turnovers and penalties and such. But make no mistake, they can score the football from anywhere on the field at any time... and their defense can absolutely get after you when they want to. Soph RB Ricky Stewart is the guy you really have to worry about. Kilgore's defense is one of the best in the state and Stewart gashed us for over 200 yds rushing. If you key on him then the QB Brisbon can hurt you just as badly with his legs and arm. They have 3 WR's that are dangerous (not even counting the D1 receiver they lost in week 10 for the season). IMO, the best player on their team is #52 who plays offensive and defensive line. They can definitely be beat, but you'll have to play very clean and be + 2 or 3 on turnovers.
 

I can’t tell ya who’s gonna win this game, but I can tell ya that the Raiders will compete and the culture within the program has changed and will continue to as long as Reyes is here. We are more physical than some give us credit for. We are not one dimensional as we were in the past. The better, more athletic team does not always win. Any given Friday! I believe the Raiders win this game and shock BEast Texas. I believe in our coaches to lay out the plan and our boys to execute the plan. #fullthrottle

If Lumberton brings their A game, they can pull it off.  Keep it going L-Train!

Having a QB that defenses didn’t have to gameplan for bogged the LCM offense down big time this year. 

A little history on LCM running backs. 2012 Alex sezer got a full ride from Texas Am. One of the teams that he played on beat PNG from what i can remember. Winters went juco, i cant think of anymore at this time. But id say sezer the last 10 years was the better back. He was extremely fast

It’s been a good couple years. 2 winning seasons in a row! First time in almost 30 years. That’s how good it’s been for 2 years. 

I’ve said it before, last years season set the expectations really high, maybe too high. While so far, this season has not met those expectations, it does not represent the program. Improvement has happened and will continue to happen. 

Sadly I can agree that the Bears haven't lived up to the hype. After being 11-3 qtr finalists last yr,  there has been hype since last December! I feel like the Bears are a decent team,but not what they were last season. As far as tonight goes, if LCM plays their best football, no penalties, turnovers or other mistakes, they can make this a game!

Actually, I'm thinking that NFHS has something to do with Texanlive, like maybe the main company or something. NFHS usually gets the playoff games instead of Texan.

I would be hesitant about NFHS doing this game. They list games all the time and end up not doing it.
If TL doesn't have it on their schedule, then it's likely not going to happen.
We will see.

House of Payne? Kid runs strong and can throw short passes. He brings the dymanic we are currently missing.
The current QB did have a few good runs against huffman but if he struggles passing and refuses to run, Peevey needs to think of his program. The CHill game last year would've been much closer if he had that mentality. 
I am hearing we are back full steam for Kilgore as far as injuries go. Couple of kids from the undefeated JV and a certain freshman will be available. Heard he's a natural behind center.
 

You have more faith in LCM than i do. We have 3 injured starting lineman that have been out since Lumberton game. The problem with LCM offense is that we are missing Landry with him running the  zone read. Our current Qb is not pulling the ball and taking off. He's giving it morris every time. If we are going to do that might as well get in the wildcat. Defense wise we lost our linebackers and secondary  the youth showed this year. If Peevy beats Kilgore give that man a bonus.

Depends on which team decides to show up. They get big headed too quick with a lead. 

Yep. The Bears can compete and with multiple players returning from sickness/injury they'll have all the tools. We'll find out on Friday if they can use them against a good ball club. For Christ's sake run the football, hang onto it and don't over think things. If something is working, come back to it.
