You’re decking the halls with that non-district schedule. “fa la la la la”
La vega- already scheduled
LaMarque- let people get a feel for what's to come
La Grange- I've got a coupon for one free night at the ranch
Shoemaker- only way he's coming back to DRH

Louisiana does a Power ranking and makes the playoff bracket based on that with no geographic considerations. Imagine all the bickering and arguing over seeding. Also that 1st round matchup between Port Arthur and El Paso would be fun…. 😀
Is it coaches poll, or bcs style computer rankings?

only 2 were competitive.
Avg margin of victory 27.5 points
Do they change which regions play semis every year?
Maybe we need that back to back bump up rule in place. Although every team going for their 3rd lost.

Ummmm… way more applied for BC than WOS two years ago. To be exact, only 13
That's my point

There's always been another level to get the boys to.

See they voted 4-3. Even though all were appointed by democratic governors. Makes it look less partisan. I wonder if it's typical for the entire court to be completely one sided.

Oh I get it. Wasn't questioning your comment. More like the locals are blind. And optics so bright, I gotta wear shades

Another thing he said was they play 8 regular season games and everyone makes playoffs. Different for sure.
I don't like that idea. But it is part of my 7A plan. I say take the largest 64 schools in the state and make 8 districts. They can duke it out for the regular season. Then every team makes the playoffs. That allows the other 12 divisions (including officially spitting 6A) to not have as much difference between top and bottom.

Just another outlandish conspiracy theory???
Trump will have to run as a 3rd party candidate because the RNC won't nominate him no matter how we the people vote in the primaries.
Both parties learned from Hillary that Trump can grab em... and still win. So the democrats nominate MObama to replace JB. They need a historic vote for the first woman president to make sure Trump has no chance. Both sides stuff the boxes this time. With Vegas taking bets on the over/under.

Isn't that true for most/all programs? Yet that's rarely the case...
Yes. But who wants to coach at west hardin? And how many applied for the BC job?
We're talking about a proven perennial power with a history of Jim's and Joe's. And it don't take Todd Dodge to make a decent hire. Although I believe if we had hired JJ we'd be looking at for 3pete in 24. Instead of hoping to make the playoffs. And hoping the nucleus of the team doesn't use their cousins address in another district.

Thats just being done for optics locally...I dont believe anyone in their right mind believes the UIL will even entertain that appeal

lol that’s the first time I seen that.. I wonder all that is a result of the basketball coach hire dilemma?
Or they see the neighboring district in complete dismay.

A friend of mine told in Indiana and a couple other states, if you win state two years in a row, you’re bumped up a classification. Y’all ever heard that?
I think that's a great idea to do at each realignment. But where does Duncanville move to now? And 6man D1 too?
Louisiana changed up some things to stop the domination of open districts. They spilt into select and non-select divisions. Meaning that non-select teams are home grown talent. I heard the UIL AD in an interview with DCTF say they are currently monitoring what other states have done to see how it can benefit HS FB here in Texas.

Everyone knew who was getting hired at BC too. Yet they had 3 or 4 times the applicants. It shows the toxicity of our superintendent and the nature of his hiring techniques. One can only hope that the teachers are hired for their qualifications and not other superficial reasons. The test scores and ratings from the state have been in decline since his tenure began. The only thing staying above water was CT's program. Now look where that is.
