Here is my official way too early prediction...The district will end in a 3 way tie with PA-M, PN-G and Central.  PA-M will beat PN-G.  PN-G will beat Central.  Central will beat PA-M.
1T. Beaumont Central...9 starters return on defense.  A bunch of juniors and sophomores played last year along with the district champs in JV translate to good things this year.  In my opinion, with Whaley being gone, it will benefit the offense in opening it up and not being so predictable.  The one district loss comes on the road agains Indians...
1T. Port Arthur Memorial...after playing much bigger schools like North Shore, Deer Park, etc., dropping down is a big confidence booster for the Titans.  Because of this, I could see them just as prolific as the team that went to the state quarterfinals a couple of years ago.  Along with Coach Harrison trying to keep his job, the Titans will have no mercy on the smaller schools of the district.  They do stumble cor their only district loss against the Jaguars. 
1T. Port Neches-Groves...the Indians will continue to reload and Faircloth will COACH this team to a piece of the district title.  Indians only district loss will come at the hands of the Titans.
4. Nederland...Nederland is Nederland.  Neumann will find a way to get it done.  He may not win district this year but they will be in the playoffs again.  Bulldogs will loose to all 3 district front runners.
5. Lumberton...Babin and the Raiders will come up a little short of making the playoffs this go around.
6. Vidor...the style of offense will keep them in many games, the defense will let them out.
7. Beaumont Ozen...gone is the all district QB but they do have the best RB back in the district.  He is not enough and with the lack of depth at other positions, he won't have numbers like last year. 
8. Baytown Lee...no longer the cellar dwellers.
9. Livingston...the new cellar dwellars.

Hahaha! Having Lumberton as #1 is almost as hilarious as having Central there!
 
It's PAM, then the Mid County Schools and either Central or Ozen bringing up the rear.

I am saying that I drove through Refugio yesterday and was blown away by their football facility. 
People blast barbers hill on here for spending money on facilities! Why?? The people of bh want their kids to have what Lake Travis, Tatum, coppell all have. Which is nice facilities. I don't know 1 coach in setx who if you asked them if they would take a nicer weight room/ practice facility would say no.
all I'm saying is that if your complaining about money! Stop paying your sup 348,000!

Soulja let me state the facts. I had sat in visitor stands at durley and feared falling through. Png jv game got moved from Zaharias this year due to ants! Your sup made 350 ,000 dollars with school that were built by wpa! Y'all have good coaches and athletes that deserve better.

Things have been on the up and up.  New administration has been in place like 3 years and the scum and slime has been slowely scrubbed away.  

I like that people are taking this post personal! Shows pride. I have mounds of respect for wos and all east Texas programs. No way at all bashing players, coaches or communities.
i am saying that Hardin has turf, east chambers has beautiful facilities, woodville has a beautiful gym, but Wos who played in 16 games all of which people came to see and paid admission is saying no funds???
I think if you have the best football program in setx everything in your program would be 1st class. Your kids and coaches deserve it!

After everything that's gone down in HF lately...I'm not sure I'd even consider working there..unless every single school board member not only resigned, but moved out of the school district.  Issues over there.  Real issues.

Some of you that are talking about Ozen travel are only looking at football if they would have stayed in 4A the rest of the sports would have been in same district as Bridge City, HF, O-Field, etc... so distance traveled (budget) wouldn't be that much more really.  Girls/boys basketball alone travels way more than football. Just saying

If Ozen would have went 4A I don't think Navasota would be in that district. BISD had to send 2 schools to Livingston all the time for 4 years because they used to be in district down here. It's not all that bad just hard on the kids on a yellow dog on a Tuesday. But the funds are now shot because all the travel with Westbrook. 

Is that the District they'd be in if they'd stayed down?

Farthest trip would be a 40 minute drive to Liberty, everything else is within 20 minutes. Ozen and WOS in the same district would be scary in 4A-Div 2

What about the WO-S district?

i swear i think the UIL sent westbrook to region 2 on purpose.

Not sure why BISD would be so against Ozen playing 4A. Not like much of the competition at that level have further driving distances than their current district.

That might be the first time I've ever seen someone mention a team scoring 63 points and "stops" in the same story.

They started wearing Cujo in 94 the year of the last state championship. When we fans went on the road all people saw a Convoy of cars panted in blue and white. The name cujo was everywhere. That was the year the Dallas Morning News called JT's fans CUJO nation.
