  1. Tough but fair! Lol
  2. Hopefully you get those questions answered!
  3. You are entitled to your opinion. Much like the coaches at SOC are entitled to run their program as they see fit, the results are the results. And the results from this year's game had nothing to do with the gloves or being distracted...PNG just beat SOC I think what's happened at SOC and the type of kids they've put out have made a difference for the positive. IMO they've done far more good in their community than any percieved slights by wearing the opposing teams colors.
  4. Considering they've been doing it a while now and they've won two state titles and played for another my guess is they'll be fine
  5. Generally speaking yes it's not done on purpose to give that competitive advantage it's more for clout on Instagram in hype videos etc
  6. A lot of it keeps the UIL from being in the red...you think the marching band, one act play and academic contests make money? Absolutely not lol
  7. It's not done to hide penalties, it's called "disrespect spat" where you wear the other teams colors..its not uncommon to see...first time I saw SOC do it was in 2019 vs Kimball they wore red.....Kimball was in white jerseys that day so it clearly wasn't done for a competitive advantage then
  8. Not sure if PNG uses SETX or Houston as their home chapter...sometimes geography doesn't always line up...for example DeSoto in the Dallas area uses Fort Worth for their home games
  9. Mildly lol It's also literally two different chapters lol
  10. I've never met Mr Fitch, I know Bill was at state football this year organizing and managing the officials and is usually the point person for TASO at coaching school...I guess Bill is technically #2 I want to say Bill's crew has been picked to do 5 state title games now
  11. Theodore's crew is pretty well thought of generally..he's also the head honcho at TASO
  12. It was Bill Theodore's crew...I'd have to research all of them..I know one the guys on the crew has kids that go to Midlothian...would have to research the others
  13. It wasn't a Dallas crew last year, it was a Fort Worth crew...quite different
  14. Todd is a polarizing figure, but he and his staff are very good coaches. They had their kids ready to play, they just got beat by a really good team....no shame in that I can assure you the SOC coaching staff is ready to move on, this being done by DISD board members/admin for optics
  15. I agree, it does put that ref in a bad situation regardless of what happens....
  16. He did and I corrected him....the official who lives or works in Port Neches threw one flag the entire game and that was a hands to the face
  17. SOC-PNG; Bellville-Gilmer and Malakoff-Franklin were competitive down to the very end Gunter-Tidehaven was pretty competitive until the 4th Mart-Albany and Duncanville-North Shore were close enough to where it wasn't a total blowout but you never felt like Mart or North Shore was coming back to win Yeah everything else...blowout city
  18. even if challenges were allowed I don think a DPI could be challenged I do think SOC makes it back, they are loaded at the lower levels with talent and several sophomores played key roles... When we are talking about talent SOC only had one kid sign with Texas Tech today, a couple go G5 and a few FCS kids....absolutely nothing like last year
  19. The coaches agreed on the refs but to my understanding Part IV only applies if the potential conflict is disclosed...the rule reads he doesn't have kids at the school, so I assume since it specifically says school and not ISD its not per TASO considered a conflict
  20. OL PNG QB PNG WR SOC DL PNG LB SOC DB SOC Special Teams PNG
  21. I think you are overestimating SOC's talent this year..PNG especially up front IMO was more talented
  22. Absolutely you file a protest to appease your base..standard operating procedure
  23. The referee crew last year was a Fort Worth crew...SOC uses Dallas Contrary to popular belief Fort Worth is its own thing
