TXHORN_ET reacted to Cougar14.2 in Montgomery Lake Creek 77 Dayton 21/FINAL
Smh, Man Coach I just wasn’t going to point anything like that out in this environment. What I will say is how it’s odd that both Crosby and Dayton have experienced a demographic shift, yet Cosby views is as having access to additional athletes but some Dayton folk not so much?
Funny how I never heard mention of that when Juan Carranco was an all-state kicker and signal caller Andres Herrera had them in the 3rd round. I believe he was actually the last Dayton to also beat Crosby, and you know how much weight that carries down HWY 90.

Was this honor ever bestowed upon them when they had the Four Horsemen?

Something you guys aren't thinking about is pay. Hard to get a good head football coach without giving him the pay bump for AD.

I believe you should reward your best coach with the AD title. If that means its the girls basketball coach then it is what it is. I think the issue comes in that a good head football coach expects the AD title and pay. I am just crazy enough to think we should do what's best for the students, and I believe that is rewarding good coaches, those not only successful on the field or court but those able to build relationships with the students. You want more kids involved in more sports, someone has to do the hard work of building relationships. When we had Coach Finney at HD, we fielded a JV and Varsity football team and had more girls involved in athletics, simply because students loved him and wanted to play for him not because he was AD.

Goes back to the old argument when it comes to kids specializing in one sport. I’m not saying this is happening at West Hardin, but it’s difficult to put a winning football team on the field year in and year out if the kids don’t play. I wonder how many of these small schools in the area stress their track program. That’s where your overall program is built.
Now someone please help me off my soapbox. The balance isn’t as good any longer.

Um, that prestigious program didn't get power until two weeks ago and some of those kids in that prestigious program just came home last weekend to houses that are so badly destroyed that in some cases, they are unlivable.
Hey, you have a problem with how smaller schools are treated by some posters here? By all means come on and express your displeasure. But for you to bang on a school that had 120 mile winds roll through makes you look just as bad as the folks you appear to be chastising!

TXHORN_ET got a reaction from Hagar in Vidor vs Bay City
Bay City Intercontinental is closed due to the inability to get cows off the runway. There is a possibility of landing in Joe Bob's hay field over Van Vleck way since he hasn't planted rice in several years now. The landing might be a bit bumpy.

He already looks bigger, stronger, and faster. Dunno how the Horns are going to get all three backs carries they need. It will be interesting to see.

Your choice.
But it's a business, school, public and private entity to have the right to require a mask.
No different than the "no shoes, no shirt, no service" policy.
