It will be interesting to see how this group of Tigers responds. They have worked their tails off all summer, lots of excitement about playing with each other. And they may respond better to a new coaching style....we will just have to wait see.

First you haven't seen me say anything along the lines of a pediction or knocking WOS. Honestly like recent years of the HJ Silsbee matchup on the basketball court this series has been too lopsided to me t be considered a true rivalry. now as far as this thread you stated what good are recievers if you have a qb that can't get them the ball. Jones should be able to do that unless he has no time. Remember as good as Dontre was last year, the year before his passing was not real impressive. It was the work that summer after his jr year, much like has gone on this summer. And as far as time to throw, this years running game should garner a lot more attention and help in that respect. Will all this add up to a Tiger win, way too early to really predict that and too many new variables on our end. But I like what I am hearing as far as attitude and the way we are going about this season. It's just a matter of how fast we adjust to playing with the new people and coaches.

i am not going to try and compare Tre to the past qbs, like I said I haven't seen him, but I M not sure seeing him at Legacy would do me much good. Having all the weapons he will have will only make him better.

Yes we have some real good kids both on and off the field. Have been very impressed by the respect shown by the returnees as well as the players I know.

WOS speed on the d line has been the big hurt on us.

That's true Dontre was huge and I haven't seen Tre play yet but if he is what is expected I wouldn't expect much fall off. And you add a second back the quality of Tyler and the running game will be tough to contain. As far as the offensive line, I will have to see how they perform. Now on the defensive side we still have to prove ourselves as well but with a change in offense that defense should stay off the field a little more which will be a big help, also depending on how many players play both ways.

Can't wait to see that first game and see how my Tigers look!!!

It is way too early for me to make a prediction, we haven't proved anything yet. And yes both teams should be better than they were but with new coaches you just don't know how long it will take for us to really get going. We have all the ingredients and last years game was pretty much agame that could have went either way until we ran out of gas at the end. Unfortunately, as far as football goes, I will miss the game because I will be in Colorado.

How do you know what the weakness of either team will be, it's a new year. And we have new coaches so our weakness from last year could become a strong point.

$1 isn't anything to get uptight about but like was stated earlier why not charge an extra $1 on a ticket And do away with those taking parking money....

He may not be a true post but definitely knows how to play the position. He showed that this summer. His height and stature will be a good addition for us this year. His ball handling skills will be a big bonus as well but I will have to see more of that before I can say it's as good as any others.

No offense at all towards Kelly but this Tiger schedule is loaded. All the no district games are 5 or 6 a schools except a couple. One of those two lost a big player so not so sure how strong they will be.

Hmm nobody wants to answer....I know there was talk of a certain hire for an assistant and his son as a player,. Any truth to that?

That's good but in no way means anything for this year.

I for one wasn't hating on anyone just don't think think either of those local teams are better than a lot of the teams in higher classifications that this has them ranked above. They are defininitely worthy of a high ranking in their own class.

I was wondering do they think WOS is better than all those 5 and 6A teams or just that much better than their classification?

And yes Tyler will be a sophomore this year.
