LH gave SOC all they wanted last year, I expect PNG to do the same.

I agree. That would be my luck move my kids from a school and they go to the state championship.

If those boys of yours play football, they don't like you very much right now! LOL.

The X-Factor, IMO, is Gary Joseph, who now has a lot of free time to crunch SOC film and help his son game plan to stop their offensive attack. PNG just picked up a additional assistant coach for this one. I really think this will make the difference.

Fellas, Silsbee was two games away from the title game and lost to a very very good Cuero team. That is a great success in 99.9% of the programs in the state. When you get to that level, the little things tend to rear their heads and cause teams to lose. Discipline, heart and experience usually tend to be the difference. Otherwise, we would never see a team like Liberty Hill continue to have the kind of success they have against clearly more athletic programs at this point in the year. Silsbee should celebrate the great year they had and work on fixing the small things that created the difference in the game. As far as experience goes, now they have that. Discipline can be created during the offseason, and heart must be brought by the players.

Nah he's currently in the 9th grade. His first pass in the Van Alstyne game was a 40+yd strike for a TD right before halftime.

I read where Surratt's son was the Freshman QB in there slinging it against VA at the end. I'd let him rip too. If I put my underclassmen in the game, and you can't stop them with your first string, you don't deserve any mercy.

To each and everyone that helped to show me that prayer is a great power I thank you so very much.
My wife while still in the hospital is feeling much better and seems to be doing well.
The absolute great news is there is/was no Congestive heart failure as they first thought. The updated diagnosis is she had what is called a Bronchospasm.  To put it simple, a Bronchospasm is when the airway gets overworked. A staph infection in her blood has had her on antibiotics but its not around her heart or lungs so that's good.
I can't honestly thank you ALL enough for the thoughts and prayers. I am so grateful. I was so scared and worried about her when I posted on her situation and without fail yall showed up.
Wish you all the very best.
    take care

    2. Lost to SANTA FE!!!!!!!!
    3. District just fired 100 employees
    4. Every Coach he hired he had to convince them their checks would clear.
    5. Superintendent Got ran out of town.
    6. All kind of rumors circling around the athletic program.
    7. Worst Rep for recruiting on East Side of Houston (and thats tough to do)
I could list 20 other things but I wont. Coach P stepped into that!

Normally I would have zero hope for an upset but this AP team is just built different. They are healthy and have played well against ranked teams this year.  It’s all on the defense, their offense will keep up as always. They have to make some stops. AP will be ready, this isn’t the only opponent they have faced who run that kind of offense. Orangefield does the same thing and AP lost to them this year. It was a strange game tbh, corbitt didn’t play and their offense was one dimensional - kept airing it deep with no ability to do play action. Didn’t try any mid level passes really, that loss was on the coaching not the players that game.

I think they will be ready.
