Okay, just one more time about that Harris dunk. Looks like it could have been a 3 point play. #12 got him on the arm.

They got a shot assuming Dotson is playing. Stony Point needed a miracle last second 3 to make it. Plano East is probably the favorite, but anything can happen in one game when the pressure is on. BU has the experience in big games like this.

Final dunk count was 5 - 2 in favor of Silsbee. That Harris one in the 4th was particularly nice. Leading scorers: Harris - 19 Bottley - 17 Miller - 14 Jones - 12 A lot of the other Tiger players had little spurts that really helped get the win. Elam, Shoulders, Boulwen and Johnson. Johnson had a few good defensive plays that lead to baskets. Boulwen with some good defense while Rice was sitting. Shoulders with a timely 3 and Elam with some good defense stops. Next game will be tough no doubt. They'll be at a real size disadvantage if they play Stafford.

I'm not sure how much common opponents matter at this point. Last year Silsbee handled Furr, who beat Washington in the regular season and gave them all they wanted in the second match up. If the Tigers can make their 3s and rebound they'll have a chance.

Somebody from Dallas ISD is probably on the phone with a job offer right now.

I'm gonna take off my homer glasses and say BTW by 6. We've been a little off on the 3 ball in most playoff games compared to the regular season. We've never been a good rebounding team and for some reason we've missed a lot of easy baskets here lately. All of that adds up to a sad end to the Tigers season, I'm afraid.

What little I've seen of Hitchcock is they look like a 3A version of Silsbee. Sorry Lions, I'm going to go with Hitchcock by 10. Feel more that free to prove me wrong on that 🙏

This is the last year FF will be in the mix in 4A. I think they might be more beatable this year. If Silsbee loses tomorrow, I'll definitely be pulling for anyone but them.

I just hope we don't die by the 3 and turnovers like we did last year.

Washington up by 19 last I checked. Inflated records and weak schedules are always exposed this time of the year. I guess we'll see if CH can make a game of it.

Tiger defense has given up 40, 57, 56 and 55 points in their last four games.

Probably quiet cause most people's teams are done. Lets hope we have some teams to pull for after this weekend. I think the big man Davis will have a huge night for BU. Seven Lakes don't look that big in the paint. Maybe it's cause they were playing Clements who had 7 footers and 6'10 guys on the court. They were at a huge size disadvantage and still won. Clements (who was also playing at home 🤷‍♀️) never really tried to exploit that advantage for whatever reason. Maybe BU should. Seven Lakes it tough, but I say Wolves by 6 in this one.

Silsbee only has about 800 or so kids. They're comfortably 4A. They probably won't be beating up on the local 4A teams that bad next year.

Houston Wheatley relevant again. How long has it been? Wonder if this will be the new norm and if Washington will fall off after Mcdermont graduates? Tigers by 10.

Chapel Hill has played a mostly weak schedule. Not saying upsets can't happen (Anna took down Fort Worth Eastern Hills), but it'll take a minor miracle for them to beat BTW.

To me this could be the most impressive season for BU if they go back to state and compete for a title. Clements lost on a last second buzzer beater. #24 for Seven Lakes is the real deal. Going to have to find a way to shut him down or contain him at least.

On the positive side, the Tigers held HF to just 6 points for the rest of the game after they pulled to within 5. Sometimes you have to win ugly. We really need to be more careful with the charges though. That's really an avoidable foul and it's usually Miller or Harris that does it. There's a reason why they sometimes just stand there and give up layups. They can't risk getting another foul called. I swear somebody from Palestine put a curse on Rice for dunking on that boy like that the last game lol.

You'd be surprised at some of the reasons people will give. I've heard quite a few for why we couldn't get a double header at the Montagne Center.

Doe HF understand Silsbee gets another player back agreeing to Tuesday. A pretty good one at that. He'll probably see limited minutes off the bench at first, but a little extra firepower never hurts.
