Great win for the Horns. Making this former player (during the rough years) very proud. 
 

What we have here is a fantastic young coach who grew up here LOCALLY. We ought to be rooting for a local guy who brought a lot of pride here to the area as a player and is now doing great things as a coach. Got a program that not that long ago was absolute g a r b a g e, and now has them beating some of the great teams in the area. Pretty cool in my eyes. 

Tramaine Thomas would def be in the discussion for me. One of the smoothest ball players I’ve ever seen. 

Listen, Hamshire - Fannett my alma mater, the school I played ball for has been a joke for YEARS. He came in and within one year turned them into a playoff team. No small task no matter who came with him. 

Coach Rideaux not getting coach of the year is a travesty, plain and simple. Dude took a program that’s been a absolute joke for well over a decade and took them to the playoffs with some previously unimaginable wins along the way. It’s no secret he rubbed some of the other coaches the wrong way but there’s no denying he did a unbelievable job. Comes down to pettiness in my opinion. Sure hope he sticks around and keeps ruffling feathers. HF athletically as a whole is starting to turn around and it’s a dang shame that it’s not being recognized to its fullest. 

Thank you guys for keeping us back in SETX updated on the game. Was at a birthday dinner and couldn’t listen to it.

Congrats Eagles!! Showed a lot of heart stepping up with your backs against the wall and coming up with the stop to seal the deal.

I can’t help but think back on that egregious, absolutely mind blowing call on that missed field goal. The ref had a perfect view from back where he was so he has no excuse about impeded view. Wish we could get his take. 

Dude, I’m not one to ride the refs cheating train but my god that was one of the worst calls I’ve ever seen in high school sports PERIOD!!

You really going to say a school doesn't deserve a good coach?? A school that has lacked decent boys coaching for quite a while nonetheless. Go kick rocks dude. Sorry some bad apples ruined YOUR perception but there are some great kids at that school that are more than deserving of great coaching and not just someone looking for a pit stop. I'll confidently say you're a douche. 

That's what I thought, keep it alive Bucs!! Pulling for our neighbors in this one.

That's the vibe I was getting from you that is why I asked the question. You called Baylor dumb for firing him. If you were the AD and all this is coming down on you, your university is on ESPN everyday with these allegations and cover ups coming to light. Do you keep him as your Head football coach?

Are you insinuating that since it "happens everywhere" that he shouldn't have been fired for covering up sexual assaults by his players? It's a sad reality that he will coach again, which I have no doubt, but his butt ought to worried about a prison sentence not what job he is gonna take next. 

No issues with anything just chose to play Football and was fantastic at it at Arkansas. Tramain Thomas tops my list. Still one of the best high school basketball players I have ever seen.
