Hey Hawk at what point did I say Ozen should stop shooting? When did I say for Ozen to hold the ball in this game? At what point did I say that they should run a different defense to let PNG shoot? Okay thanks. I know Coach Downs isnt a first year coach she was the head girls coach when I was at Hamshire. This is her first year as a head coach for PNG. If you are running a 1-3-1 and starting at half court they are going to push the girl into a trap which in turn my good sir is a half court press. I know that Ozen is a good team, I know they have some major talent thats great good for them but 104-9 is crazy. As a coach do you really not mind a team running up a score like that?

There is nothing, I repeat N O T H I N G that would excuse a 104 - 9 beatdown of a 1st year coach and a group of already beat up young ladies. I dont care if Ozen's jv is better, if someone not very familiar with the game was upset ya'll held the ball against Vidor (Part of the game and a smart move, I had no problem), Wanted to get a better state ranking, wanted to intimidate some other teams it really doesn't matter. As a coach you do not embaress another team like that, im not sure a lot of you are getting the drift here. They just beat a team by 95 points, not 50 not 65 not 80. 95 FREAKING POINTS. It's as simple as slowing the ball down for god sakes.

There is also not a column for defeating a hugely inferior team by 95 points smh. No way im going to congratulate a team for doing that. It's easy to put second stringers in to get some playing time and turn this press off late in the game. It's called class

Getting beat by 95 and 50 is quite different sir or mam. Yes I work, I own a business and were here working hard everyday. This is a sports forum not a political forum and my opinions on what's going on tax wise and with the way our country is being ran would definetly be frowned upon on a public forum ;D. When I was playing at Hamshire as a senior we got beat by Silsbee 106-29 and I have never forgotten it and im still embaressed by it. So no, stuff like that sticks with ya, I promise.

Did you not read my last post? There is nothing wrong with doing your regular press and offenses, scoring in transition so on and so forth but at some point especially when your up 70+ opposed to single digits it's time to have a little mercy on a struggling team. I know Coach Downs and I really like her but like I said earlier I have no dog in this fight but in my opinion 104-9 is over the top and completely unneccesary. If your Bobcats got absolutely strummed like that you would be on here throwing a fit and if you say otherwise you are liar.

Yeah that would be pathetic and uncalled for. Dont understand your point there considering I dont have a dog in the fight. You have to have the gas pedal floored from start to finish if your going to beat a team 104-9. Work on your press and do whatever you feel needs to be done but at some point its time to turn off the press and get some other girls in to get some work in, but you dont embaress a coach and a group of girls like that.

Whether png players came to play or not there is no excuse that anyone could say to justify beating a team, especially one who is going through a rough patch, 104 to 9. That is pathetic and uncalled for.

Please explain what's wrong with the coaching ladyraider I'd love to hear opinion on that. I believe the lady pirate players already proved your past statements wrong. Both players you said wouldn't score 20 scored 20 and 25. Vidor clearly had the better ball handlers unlike what you said previously. L-town was clearly disturbed by Vidors press notice the 30 points they scored in the first quarter alone. Tori if I recall right didn't have a single turnover Plus she played excellent defense. So please entertain me with what's wrong with Vidors coaching and what possibly could make this game even remotely respectable next go round.

Where's ladyraider03??? Great game lady pirates. I'll give the positives and negatives for the lady raiders negatives: poor free throw shooting, turnovers, trouble breaking the press and poor guard play. Positives: 2 for 1 pizza special at the snack stand!

::) I can assure if not both, at least one of those girls will score 20+ friday night. Might be close in the 1st half but I see a score somewhere along the lines of 68-40 friday night and not in the favor of the team wearing baby blue ;D

I'd go back a few years and grab Tramain Thomas. That dude was one of heck of a player. Most fluid, smooth player I have ever seen.

Difference of the game was Vidory had 4 turnovers in a row with about 4 minutes left and Ozen scored on every one of them. Vidor could never recover after that. Great hard fought game very proud of the Lady Pirates

Steven kids even at our almight WOS Silsbee and Bridge City are not averiging 300 pound bench presses. There may be several kids that can lift that much but to say the program is averiging that is completely far fetched

I hate to break it to you "Steven" but the average high school football team in the area does not average 300 bench press lets not get stupid now. I'm not going to comment on the issue because I have not heard much on what's going on but this school has some really good groups coming up and i'd love to see the right fit there in Hamshire to right the ship.

This Longhorn is super proud and couldnt say enough about the Nederland performance last night. The best high school football game I have ever witnessed in my life and thats a fact. That Bulldog defense is absolutely the real deal. With all the controversy and blown calls and unsportsman like behavior by Dawson there is still one thing that had to be done and that was CLUTCH UP and win the game and that is exactly what Nederland did last night. Great teams fight through adversity no matter how great and battle till the very end and that's exactly what big ned did last night. Im at work this morning and still freaking hyped about that game hahah Congrats and I'll see all you fans next week no matter where the games at 8)

Vidor should win this tournament keep the injury bug away and they should be fine. Richmond could very well compete for district mvp this year.

I think the way he turned that program completely around (which is a huge understatement) speaks for itself. He coaches the way he coaches with success, granted officials dont like him and apparently other daddy's and momma's dont appreciate it but all I can say is worry about your own program because he has done a fantastic job with his and I can tell you for a fact he takes very good care of them young ladies. Life is not a cake walk and all the babying of kids these days is making it harder and harder once they get into the real world. I appreciate his coaching style and I pray that one day my kids have a coach who loves and coaches half as hard as that man does. oh and btw Vidor will make the playoffs for the 3rd year in a row after a freaking o win season 4 years ago. ENOUGH SAID
