Both schools have track facilities on their campuses.
There are many high school football stadiums across the state that do not have tracks.

One doesn't need a football stadium of that magnitude to host large track meets.
The location would not be good for an Area track meet. Too far east for the other 6A schools.

I will leave you to your beliefs, but when you call a Democrat, and dare i say one that wont acknowledge his own grandchild, more Christian you won your argument with yourself and the others that vote with the demonic party.

The weather is a big advantage, also the fan support. Arkansas, La, Mississippi, Alabama, Carolina all have no pro baseball. If you are a baseball fan in those states, you follow college baseball and the attendance numbers show this. The SEC is pulling the best players from the West coast to come play in the South in front of 10,000+ fans. Stanford averages 1,600 at their games and most of the west coast teams are less than that. The SEC spends money on baseball where as most don’t.
The SEC Network has also helped with every game being on TV. Not too long ago, A&M would only have a handful of games that i could watch. Now every single game outside of a few tourney games is on TV for free.

So 15 of the last 16 seasons an SEC school has played for the Natty and 4 of those times both schools were SEC. Like I stated, it's already a common occurrence without tu.
But the additions will enhance it.

No argument here about SEC baseball being the gold standard and I would agree with you (at least I think you would agree) that the SEC has been more dominant in baseball than football. Just stating when you add arguably the bluest blood in the country in baseball, the rich get even richer.

Yep, more dominant in baseball than football. Almost laughable. It's as though SEC baseball says we kick butt even better than you kick butt.

When you have men's volleyball and field water polo teams you have an advantage before you even start competing for top overall program. Stanford has around 10 programs more than Texas. The fact Texas has won the Directors Cup is impressive.

But to give the Cardinal their due, they are the only school in the country that consistently has a better overall athletics department than Texas. So there is that. (Although recently Texas has gotten the best of them.

I missed the national titles on Stanford. You did say last 40. There are a few programs that compare over the last 40. Texas very well may be the best ever, but last 40 years removes 3 titles.

Not sure where his head was, but at 24-4, it’s hard to pick one player.

That certainly helps but if I heard correctly on the broadcast last night, the last 15 seasons has had at least one SEC school playing for the national championship. Pretty common already.

Looks like this is exactly what is about to happen. UIW adding to lead in top of 9th.

Well Lamar does their part winning 9-5.
Current other game going most our way is Southeastern leading Northwestern 4-1 in the 6th inning.

Snakehead, you gave more effort on the tiebreakers than me, well done.

If and I mean a big IF...if all scores in the conference remain with the team leading right now.... 4 way tie for 3rd and UIW 1 game ahead going in to tomorrow. Again, a big if.

I liked last year's format in the SLC. The top two teams were rewarded with a 4 team elimination at home to try to reach the finals. Then the remaining best team got the championship at their field. It gives the best teams during the season a little better odds of following through in the tournament. Under current format this will always give McNeese a bit of an advantage. The other teams receive no advantage other than playing a lower seed in their first round game.
Still a ton of scenarios left for the seedings even with two games left but yours will work. We just need to take care of our own business by winning our final two.

After last night, it appears UIW is the team to support if you're a Lamar fan. There are other scenarios that could get them out of the play-in game, but a sweep by Lamar and UIW and AMC splitting the final 2 games does it.
Quite sure those of you that follow this thread know I mention a sweep for Lamar because it ensures you also move past McNeese in the standings.
Differrnt note, if McNeese were to lose in the play-in game there will be a very low attendance total for the tournament. With McNeese holding hosting rights for several years a one site format is set, but truly wish the conference could return to last years set up for the tournament. The McNeese vs Southeastern 3 game series for the championship drew really good crowds last year.

Well Tuesday night victory against UTRGV by a score of 10-4. Close out the regular season against HCU on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. This will finally determine if we make the conference tournament and if so what position we will occupy.

Augusta is in the Southland for golf only otherwise they are in Division II Peach Belt Conference.
Both the men and the women won the Southland Golf tournaments. The woman are going to make an appearance in the NCAA Championships.
