my guess is he is talking about Faircloth being an SLC candidate.
PLEASE -PLEASE don't let Fairycloth leave PNG!!!!!!!
A new guy could have enough experience and knowledge of areas other than the QB position and ruin our 6 game butt kickin of PNG
Seriously - no way they would consider him as he has not been successful at PNG his only HC stop.
GO DAWGS

academics. The "hood" didn't give many opportunities.
Simple--they have no tradition, school board that is not educated, intellectual incest in that they have a brother-in-law system. no pay for teachers, bush league facilities, fire/hire coaches based on a whim.
WHY would anyone want to work there???
-
The Gospel was delivered to the entire world in the First Century.......the Holy Spirit made sure that everyone had the opportunity to hear it......if they didn't choose to believe, that's their problem.......
God loves us all and is all forgiving.

Thanks Stattrax, I see now how each paper would want to promote their circulations best interest. Yes, Ethridge would make sure our 8/9th grade games were called in, etc...and campaign for our post season "stuff"

Pt A Snooze didn't have a vote. They just posted what the 22-5A coaches voted on. Geeze.
I was under the impression that they had a hand in it -- which would explain why the Snooze and Bmt Ent are not the same.
I was at the PNG 75 state reunion weekend in which Ethridge gave Burt Darden (former PA News reporter) the credit for helping the 11 all staters in 75/76 to which Burt agreeded.
If it is only coaches vote --- how/why is the Enterprise different than the News???
Please explain, if I am wrong I would like to know.

respect your opinion.

it is all BS
What about Nederlands Neauman????????? Won district and kicked PNG butt AGAIN!!! no mention, Ned qb out performed PNG at Mid Co Madness, 6th year to whoop um AND another district title. Go figure????
No, not BS --- brother in lawin for some reason Pt A Snooze loves PNG don't know why, its really kinda funny. The Ole boy just loves written warm fuzzy stuff about the non district winning PNG peeps.
BUT we all know PNG kids are the smartest, prettiest and talented around. Any of them get BYU, Baylor type schoolarships??
Didn't think so.
-
I don't know why LU wont push local kids? going back to the mid 70s if they did express interest, the local athlete got overlooked. In 75/76 PNG had 10/15 allstaters in those years- thanks to Burt Darden of the PtA Snooze who pushed our name. I think 3 or 4 where offered LU and I think only Dougle McDougel finished but never played. Von Robinson, Carl Griffith, McDougle, Delcambre where the only ones I remember.

That is not true at all. Only ADs or CDs don't teach. Every other coach has to teach in Texas. That is state law. I believe it is half of the day they must be teaching, but no where in Texas does the Offensive or Defensive Coordinator not teach some sort of class.
where do you get this coaches have to teach? Seriously, PA Memorial has coaches that are Hall Monitors and PNG had Riley Burnette that only coached 1/2 a day and drew retirement.
-
I wanted to look back through this old thread and see just exactly what our kids accomplished this year. I think it's safe to say that we exceeded most, if not all, expectations from before the season. From 2-8 (1-5 in District) to 7-3 (4-2 in District) and a short trip to the playoffs. Not too bad at all for a new coach and new system. We're losing some key seniors, but the group that played JV this year had a really good season. i think with a solid off-season program and the experience gained this year, we're gearing up to do big things next year.
Kinda like in Stumps 1st season.

Sorry, Indians didn't get the memo that they have no hope and Offense sucks.
PNG has a great HS offense that make BIG mistakes in BIG games. Last year WOS and us to name a couple
this year same song different verse.
Don't know why they find a way to lose in the last minutes in close games
they do a great job in getting key players hurt in the last minutes of games they are blowing people out.
FACTS

Okay boss.
Let's be honest....the only "spankings" that you are probably knowledgeable enough or qualified to speak of involve a monkey and shouldn't be discussed on this forum.
I am sure I don't have the expertise you have.
Is the above not true?? 6 straight, District Champs and PNG not much except finish in the top 4 of 7??
I Respect your OPINION could you do the same?

IMO BF is a good coach, and I agree with Elam on some of the things he pointed out. IMO I think a lot of the finger pointing should go toward a lot of Indian Nation. Reason why I say this is because most of the fan base and parents put it out there that this is the most talented class PNG has had in a long time. This group was labeled world beaters back when they were in 9th grade. IMO that put a lot of pressure on the kids from that point. They were expected to be the ones to beat Nederland. The fact is, a lot of things change from 9th to 12th grade. Some kids improve and get bigger, some get worse, and some top out in middle school. Nederland is well coached and so is PNG. IMO Neumann is better but Nederland has just as many good athletes "in skilled positions" as PNG. I know 6 straight stinks but there's a lot of variables that come into play.
I think you hit it on the nail.
At work all I have heard for 4/5 years is how talented this group of PNG kids are.
FACT ---WE have won district 4/5/6 years in a row with a record like 34 and 1 in district with 6 STRAIGHT spankings of the almighty PNG. I would be upset if I was a PNG fan-- no dought
-
IMO Elam looked/sounded like a fool on an agenda.
Stating BF is better than Burnett and BUM --- REALLY????
Glad to be at Ned.
Oh yea, when I was in Jr. High my Dad was a Texaco exec. They would picked our house. throw rocks at (through) the car window during strikes.
Remember last January the people here getting their house shot at, etc...during the strike at Motiva?
Comes with the job.
It is wrong but it's the real

All fans understand the frustration of PNG people. They have been way down in the win column since he came (excluding the 1st year) No playoff run, no beating Nederland, boneheaded play calling, leaving 1st team in when they are way ahead - then they get hurt, having a Qb MVP punting??
But he seems to be a good man and treats the kids well.
We would be pis*&d at Neauman if it wasn't for the DCs and 6 straight PNG butt kickings.
Not a lot of deep playoff runs for us either.
Oh, the sign deal -- he knows that's part of the deal, the heat involved AND knows his #1 goal is beating us. Getting to the playoffs is a joke, what 4 of 7 go??
To brag about making the playoffs - well it just shows you are grabing
- team first and outanup

It all starts up front...these guys are playing great football
YES!!!!! our guys looked fantastic.
77/79/75 upfront and personal. Love the quote from Stoker "he likes to move them from point A to B against their will"
I truly understand the Houston area talent. But, 5/6 straight DCs several going D1 Great job coach.
Anyone heard about PNG coach? At work they are RUMBELING
-
I know in the 80s early 90s TJ was the main rivalry. Nederland a close second.. It wasnt really until Danny Malone did the Nederland rivalry heat up. That and the fact we could not beat T.J., and at that time we owned Nederland..
There ya go. I was abroad from 79 till about the spring of 89 so missed out on those years. When was the Bobby August and Wasserman conflict with PNG going on? Heard people referring to it Friday night. something about back and forth with August then Wasserman and Ethridge getting after each other verbally with regard to PNG fans chanting "Big Ned gives ----" during the game
-
Yes TJ was PN-G's first true rival.
I respectfully disagree. TJ from the beginning utill about 70 or so was wayyy above us and PNG with those great teams of the 20/30/40/50/and 60s.
However in the late 60s and early 70s you have TJ with Mayer, Lincoln with Lil Joe and PNG with the Jet 7 to 73. Clayton in 73/74 from Ned.
I always remember us and PNG
TJ went down the tube from 73 till Dodge in 80s Then closed at some point
-
I think as long as Neauman is in charge and PNG does not get an experienced staff, don't see us losing a DC- undefeated?????
With that said, at any point Ozen and Central have great athletes - problem is their BB program trumps their FB program - if they get some support for the FB program (staff, Dist, and kids) they could be scary good!

Not even done with the season and everyone is ready to get rid of BF..smh. I'm sure some adolescent, immature adults went and put for sale signs in his front yard. I know they were talking about it where I was sitting. Really ashamed of PNG fans right now. Instead of supporting the team and coaches who I assure you are a lot more upset than we are, let's just end the season here. And whoever said that the coaches don't understand because their not from here and it's just another game to them...I call BS on that. They have to treat this as another game. There's so much hype that goes along with it, I'm sure it's hard to keep the players focused on the bottom line. Let's go take it out on Ozen, Central and Vidor.
probably should be ashamed of your coaching.
It it is not just another game.
-
totally agree the is not a season ending loss still a lot of football to be played and Faircloth will make the adjustments...I still see PNG making a deep playoff run
respectfully, we kick y'all's asrd every year with less talented kids.
I hope the PNG school board continues to back Faircloth and allow us to keep the trophy here.

It's not an indictment on Lumberton but I wonder what it says about the strength of your district when the Raiders are able to make noise with their current personnel? Odd how things are going in 22-5A right now.
I know you are Cougar bias BUT you are right 22-5A is weak. We are coming on strong and should spank PNG again. What is that 7 in a row.
Regardless, we 225A will be short lived in the play offs.

OH were about to FINESSE, Game Day Lets Gooooo!!!!!
Trust me ill be back on here after the win..
What BC team was state champ in 15?

Chris you sure are vocal about LCM with a lot of inside knowledge. Must have a kid on the team. Are you a booster?
Pachuka? as in coach?
If you are thanks for the insight

Yes, he gives the impression that he is privileged, I am sure from being a great athlete and Mom and Dad being coaches at his school he had all the "passes" needed.
another "poor me" story from a kid that has been in the paper every year he has been at bama for trouble not football
Fact
