Looks like giving up 13 hits a 4 errors killed us. I fully expect coach Nelson and the Tigers to bounce back and take the next 2. BC brought that wood last night and it's time we bring the fight back to them. Let's go Tigers!!!! You can do it!!!
Coach Chad Landry ---THE BEST coach in SETX 57 to 6 runs the last 5 games!! starts a 14 year old for the first time -- kicks Tiger butt
what can you say?????

Congrats to Coach Seymour! HF made a great move. Seymour has trained a lot of mid county athletes over the last 18+ years. HF should have him for many years to come.
Years to come??? whats the average stay of a HF coach?
He may be good BUT truth is Varsity wins -----0
Really, as a parent ( mine are all grown now) teach them morals, sportsmanship and character, etc... baseball skills secondary

PNG doesn't have the coaching ( not even close) or talent - except at QB and if they use him like last year he may not make the season - to beat WOS or anyone with size and speed. Nothing new
Great kids, fans, tradition, etc... is what it is

Come on guys, this is not a big deal. It's just another disenfranchised child who, out of lack of economic opportunity, got frustrated. The "system" let him down,.
Speaking of beat downs what the heck happened that the WOS peeps let the kid back In school?
oh I forgot it is WOS.

Not only policy but state law.
True, the Felony charges will be deemed violent in nature and may present a danger to other students.
Keep in mind in didn't turn himself in - if I remember correctly - at the earliest time like a couple did. Lawyer didn't show up for court - Lawyers I know would have a partner sit in OR have a working knowledge of the court to arrange another time.
FACT is it will take longer to mediate it than there are days left in the school year. Drop out, go to AEP or call in sick. Scholarship gone too I would imagine.

Tolbert's been there for a while. Assume he's asking if there has been any new additions. Anybody know?
I've heard Kyle Green is moving over from Lamar. Jim hired him, new sheriff with Davis - Green in the dog house - assume he will be asst in football - if it turns out as fact.

that kid is one hell of a gamer and I have posted it before Saw him at a wiffle ball turny. Thought it was a State game.
if I were a coach I would let him play everything. LU quarterbacks better watch out - if the new regime gives him a chance - I put against anyone anytime
Bad to the bone

Police are not obligated to notify anyone. Not a Lawyer but maybe it took until today to file warrant and arrest. Privacy Issues too.
100% sure if you ask a 10 grader there they knew.

Actually, Orangefield is on the low end. They can get creative with stipends i.e. football special teams coordinator stipend, girls athletic coordinator BUT the teacher pay is low. Unfortunately, except for pole vaulting years back, I cant think of a sport they have tradition in i.e. BC baseball, WOS football, etc...
I see you are new to this site whats your take on it? 1 and 9 is not good in district. may not be the reason he left but ........

Me either, but I know several older folks who do ( I can think of four off the top of my head). they didn't grow up with a cell phone attached to their ear and aren't as comfortable using them while driving. that might be even more true at night in Houston traffic. that being said, if for whatever reason the police were suspicious, they'd have little trouble verifying through phone records and a conversation with whoever called him to see if the story checked out.
Sounds weird in that park , MLK , night, Judge/Preacher,

Bottom line Minorities are pissed cause now it's a upper middleclass white game -- just like Obamma was a black game - and he SURE made sure he took care of the minorities as far as appointments etc...
Trump WILL do the same. Sharpton, Jesse, so long

Question - would you be offended by a group of White lives matter? How about National Association for the advancement of White People? Association of White Educators? Committee on the treatment of White people?
Respectfully, is it much different? Depends on what side of the fence your on.

No, while I may be a tad senile, I do remember The Jet making the last TD. He came off the field with his helmet off, He was hotdogging when hotdogging wasn't cool. It was 1973 and score was 52-6 (had to look it up on History thread). And it's possible he ran behind the second string OL. I will agree that in those days, yes, the second string for PNG would have probably won Dist. I went to the Astrodome backing the Indians about that time, so probably saw you play. Had another TB who I thought made All State (in some selection). Think his name was Blake Green, but not sure. Y'all had a big tight end, who's name escapes me, but he recovered an offensive fumble in the end zone for a TD, in the game I attended. And in 1975, which I believe is the year y'all won state, you only beat Vidor 28-22. Probably your closest Dist game. You must remember, in my initial post, I was talking about a span of 22 years. Not just when you played. And that, my friend is a FACT.
#1 Jeff never played for Doug! Sr 73 (72 season) went to UH He played for Watson .Doug started in 73 (74 senior class) ) - do better research
#2 Blake is correct #42 best 147 tackle trap back we had- groomsman in my wedding - Sr 77 (76 season) went to Nichols State
#3 Aggie graduated in 76 #85 (75 season) went to Tennesee
#4 we did go to the cow pasture and barley win
Respectfully I don't know FOR SURE about any other years other than 74 -76 football seasons - I was there for every practice, game, 2 a days, offseason and parties.
Tanks for bringing back the memories!!!

Well, your post has some interesting history on your community. Personally, I enjoyed the lesson. I love history. And though I'm not cognizant of the football history between these two teams in the last 26 years, I saw many games prior to 1990. Was PNG good most of the time? Almost always. When Doug Ethridge was coaching them in the 70's, they were referred to as the University of PNG. I also remember many games when they never pulled their starters, even though leading by 50 points. PNG had a back named Jeff "the Jet" Bergeron, I think he made All State, but he could fly. I was watching the game and kept waiting for them to pull him. Don't remember the exact score, about 64-6, but Jeff scored that last TD. Point is, for many older folks, they remember those many time when the score was ran up on Vidor. Fair? You bet. Classless? You bet. Not blaming the community of PNG, just explaining why many don't respect your Honor, Pride and Tradition. It's not jealousy. Here endeth the lesson.
Expect it to be a Great Game. Hope it's injury free. Go Pirates
You don't know what you are talking about I was a PNG letterman 74,75 and76 as a 2nd teamer in 74/75 we called it 3QA which meant 3rd quarter action -- if we were up by 21 the 1st team started the 2nd half then 2nd/3rd the rest of the game. That's is the absolute truth.
The problem was our 2nd/3rd teamers sere better than all the others 1st teamers in District.
That, my friend IS the FACT
Your memory is incorrect.

PNG should kill us they are extremely talented and pretty. This should be their best group since??? last year with Morse and the year before that and the year before that and the year before, etc...
All we do is out coach them and win at the end

Also, BS on the black/white card. all things equal - charges, caliber of lawyer, etc... same treatment.
