Biden was exonerated. What Trump did is illegal. If he was so concerned, he should' ve gone to the FBI. Regardless of what Biden might have done, the President is not supposed to ask a foreign power to investigate a political rival. That's why there is talk of impeachment.

Big Girl, you haven't posted a lot lately - but when you do, well the liberal extreme comes out

You’re going to argue on principles? Your leader is the most unprincipled man to ever hold the office, hands down.

Great comment.  Show me the facts on the unprincipled office holder.

Let's not forget Bill Clinton,  Obbamy, Nixon oh!!! how about JFK??

If you are a working man/women or business owner - ANYTHING OTHER  than a Personal Injury lawlesser why would you not favor Trump - interest rates low, jobs up, market record gains, trying to keep the illegals out

Specifically, what has he done bad and  unprincipled????

Coach Faircloth has 5 DC (when including outright and shared): 2009, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018.  Next year, he should have the most all-time wins as HC at PN-G.  He needs a state championship to be in the conversation with Doug Ethridge.  Even then, I would still take Coach Ethridge as the all-time Chief at PN-G.  That said, I'm proud of what Coach Faircloth has accomplished at PN-G.  Good man, he runs a clean program, and he uses his system to put our kids in position to compete and win a lot of games.  Wish list - continue the streak vs. Ned and collect some hardware at the state level.  If it happens, great.  If not, the world will keep turning and life goes on.  It's high school football.

    Go Indians.  Peace.

Yes, I was referring to outright championships

And yes, he has accomplished a lot while at PNG

This will be the PNG Indians football teams 10th Playoff Appearance in the 11 Seasons that Coach Faircloth has been at the helm.

    11 seasons: 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, & 2019.  I am very proud of my Indians & Coach Faircloth.

I will be proud of them, win or lose to the FB Marshall Buffs this Friday. LOVE ME SOME INDIANS FOOTBALL!!!

Get out in the cold & bring on the fans!!!  an support has been the tradition that PNG football thrives on...Keep It Coming!!!

Hopefully they can make it to the State Championship game and bring home the trophy

I understand there are 86teams going to the playoff with losing/no wins record

Not to discount the playoffs BUT when 4 of 6 teams go to the playoffs, well takes some of the value off

I do understand that you still get to brag about making  the playoff 10 of 11 years.

I think 4 of 11 years district champs

    Ethridege had 4 consecutive

Burnett and Mccollum leads all with 5 District championships

But that's the point. If we don't show some love to teams outside of the 409, then that interest will stay low.

The prediction thread for MCM was going to be active regardless if it was our GOW or not. That really should have no bearing on what is decided here as GOW.

Everyone knows how big of a game the MCM game is year to year. One of the best rivalry games in the state. But just to automatically make it the GOW without considering other factors is a disservice to our other teams we cover.

Here's a hypothetical that I would like some of our local media peeps to comment on. What if United and West Brook were playing this week for a district championship? Would MCM still be their GOW?

You are absolutely correct on the other GOWs match ups You know how weird PNG and NED fans are

when I was in school TJ, Lincoln and French were big

That’s crazy... because I seem to notice a lot more graffiti when I drive around Nederland. And our schools are obviously much, much, nicer. I mean, that 156 million dollar bond will help, but y’all still won’t even be close.
I guess the bigger question is why people are leaving Nederland while Orange County is growing?

Lets not forget that Port Arthur used to be the jewel of southern Jefferson County... Nederland hasn’t ever even been the jewel of Mid County, lol.

You are wrong I'm sorry you got your feeling hurt

I might use "pageantry and "history" rather than "intensity and excitement" as the clause that you used really does a disservce to the other athletes in the area.

Take for example the NC/Porter game.  These two schools, which share a school board and a stadium, will be competing for a district title.  While the current playoff format takes some of the emphasis off of a DC, that means a lot to the schools competing for it.

Further, there are schools all over the area that are playing tonight to not only gain a DC, but are playing to extend their football seasons and, as for the case of some of these young men, their football careers.  Are you really meaning to imply that those who are involved in those games will be any less "intense" or "excited" than the folks in Nederland tonight?

Don't get me wrong, Mid County Madness is a huge part of football not only in Southeast Texas, but in the entire state.  Thus, it should be a celebrated game and we will be here at SETXsports.com.  However, it has seemed more and more that other football in the area is basically ignored the week of Mid County Madness and many of folks outside of the city limits of Port Neches, Groves and Nederland are beginning to resent that.

I think you are correct  The other teams will be less intense and excited than the PNG and NED teams. town, fans, etc...

That's why there was a documentary on FOX about the game

I think a lot of folks resent PNG and NED because of their great sprit, tradition, etc...

That's why in previous years there has been kids transfer into PNG and NED for that reason.

It's kind of like the Dallas Cowboys, Ali, Trump, etc... others are envious of people who are successful year in and year out

Yeah... the group that will most likely be affected will be young families with school-aged kids being priced out of the market.

I can think of two life-long Bulldog families that have kids in Orangefield and BC now.  You can buy more house for the money.

You are correct on more house -- not really the house but the land, and low taxes.

what you get is a city that has no solid waste pick up, -contracted out, documented bad water, no sidewalks, crap for (lack of) city services, no ordinances (trailer next to a $$$$$ home)  School districts with limited courses ie French Latin Autobody, etc...

So yes its cheaper kind of like a Hyundai is cheaper then a Jaguar

    All about quality of life

You seem to forget that Barrow was the OC for all of those teams that beat png while Larry was here. 😄

You are correct!  He was a good one too.  I guess I'm just saying that for years Larry ( and WOS coach) made Faircloth look child like.

IMO with 4 teams per district going to the playoffs only 1 or 2 teams per district can't brag about ......"10 consecutive playoff trips"  WHICH could mean 10 consecutive 4th place finishes too

  10. 3 minutes ago, navydawg31 said:

Then how come Barrow and company beat PNG with Boy wonder 2 years ago... Uncle Larry wasn’t on the staff for that one..

You are correct.  Monte is a good coach in his own right.

Larry  just schooled Fairycloth to the point of PNG fans (younger ones) professing its just another game  No big deal.  BIG deal is that RJ scored all the touchdowns for PNG vs Ned his career.  Not PAs or FG but TDs

Relatively speaking, it took you almost as long to reply to that post as it did for you to get your Masters after your Bachelors. Congratulations on your higher education. Now maybe you can put it to use. Having lots of great tutoring and  “No coaching really needed...” is a big difference. I hope your many degrees have served you well in your career, because it definitely hasn’t done anything for your understanding  of sports or coaching kids. Hell, I barely made it out of the 5th grade, and I know more than you. Go figure...

    Gosh, I feel so inferior.

I did put it to good use.  Make a really great living and enjoy the finer things in life.

My Grandfather graduated from the 2nd grade, he know more than me.  You may as well.

??? That’s like saying a kids been learning in school since the first grade, so he’s done learning by the time he gets to high school. Well, that may your case considering your uneducated post. 😂

Point is they have started being coached up by age 7 then by age 15 (9th grade) they have had lots of great tutoring in baseball.

Like golf, all GOLFERS have swing coaches BEFORE they start HS play.

    What's your educational level ?

It’ll be alright, I promise. You might have won the game but you’re crying like you got your butt whipped, lol.

Dm your boy’s number and I’ll ask the kids to take it easy on him next time.

First off, jasper didn’t, and in my opinion wouldn’t beat West Orange this year. So it’s hard for me to say what I would say in that instance.

However, I can say that if WOS got beat by an unranked 3A team, I wouldn’t be calling for them to win region in 4A.

whats the deal with Bridge City's football  Do they have a chance of the play offs?

  14. 13 hours ago, LC-M said:

Bridge City fans not talking. These two schools  don't like each other. Im ready to see this rivalry kickoff. The schools first played each other in 1956. LCM leads the series 25-21. I hope the Bears put it on them.

Bridge City and LCM are both real power houses in Football.

Decent in Baseball -- but now days you get the 9th graders in and they have been playing select ball and having personal coaches since age 7.  No coaching really needed.

There is an incoming freshman at LCM that was at my Rucker on Wood event in Houston a few weeks ago named Damarion Morris that will be pretty good. Also watch out for Jaylan Subject (BMT United), Justin Pleasant (BMT United) Amaree Abram (PA Memorial) and Brock McClure (Lumberton)

What happened to the tall transfer to Orangefield from -Africa? Is he still on the OF team?

First, I agree he was a hell of a HS Qb

UT has - probably 5,6,7 etc...Qbs just as highly touted, if not higher.

Not knocking Johnson but like Steve Wooster said At UT everyone is all state or all American etc...multiply that by 4 classes- lots of talent
