Why do think it is anything more?
'Is it not paper and print?
Why do you think it is more that other religions "book"?
Just curious is the book/beliefs Catholics and Jews believe in different that you believing yours Is right????
-
I think comesneilfan is confused in that you don't have to be born again to go to heaven --Ask the Pope, Mother Tereasa, the Rogers brothers from Beaumont etc...Buts that's the great thing about the Bible - it is nothing more that a text book like any book
PAPER and PRINT choose to believe what is for you.

I haven't been involved in 3 or 4 years but there was a boys judge who is/was from Nederland that was VERY biased .
ent to the boys regional this year saw a couple of bad reds in my view.

LOL. In the words of LilTex, Neumann = 1-5 against Crosby in his career. If PAM puts it on y'all like that "Daddy" might be more appropriate than "Hova". In a few short years we've gone from your coach running his mouth calling Crosby "scared" to line it up to his team being taken off the schedule due to lack of competition and athletes. C'mon Mayfield, Crosby and Dayton have been tag teaming y'all like education majors.
Seems like I remember this talk last year.
Bottom Line is Neumann - year in and year out - is at the top of our district or close. State Champ.s WELL nobody but WOS can claim that. In the big picture Ned PNG BH Crosby PAM etc... nobody has done much.
So enjoy the great programs like Nederland and PNG have and take it for what its worth.
BTW Flannagan really?

Didn't his dad do well in High School athletics too?

It better be Johnson if PNG is not playing politics. But believe me, I hope it is someone else.
Agree, but look for the Bost kid to play and he is a HELL of an athlete. They will justify it by saying they need Johnson at WR but BS. Lets revisit in August.

I really like MCM the last week even though we are at PNG again - doesn't matter last year they wheeled the 53/55 and75 State Champs on the field and we still spanked them. This year they are supposed to have a drop in talent with Morse, Sullivan, Giblin, Annibolli, etc... gone. No experience at Qb, way less at WR and we have Neauman who likes to win when it counts and they have a guy interested in passing records no matter what.
When was the last time PNG beat us????? Maybe year 1 with Burnett's group that Faircloth inherited??

it happens after a realignment. Ned is playing in PNG for the second straight year. Doesn't matter.
We should spank PNG again this year. Their "golden" boys are gone - not that they did much against us the last 2 years. IN FACT a running Qb might give us more trouble than a pocket Doty/Morse type. I just don't see Fairycloth backing off the passing record agenda he has.
That is EXACTLY why Neauman kicks Fairycloth everyyear he plays to win not set records. If BF doesn't watch out his W/L record will keep him from getting a upgraded HC job (the past 2 years as example, he interviewed but no offer)
For our sake I hope he stays!!!!

Beyond the reports, there's nothing else I have heard about the incident at this game. I'd like to read more specific details before reaching a conclusion.
1 hour ago, bullets13 said:I'm going to be honest, from what i've seen, especially having been fairly active in local soccer, PNG sure seems to be ihe common denominator in a lot of these incidents... not sure why that is. I know there were big problems last year when GCM came to town. I'd sure like some more details on what happened at this game.
Bottom line the Central student and coach did wrong. Dont know what you mean with the common denominator remark other than many teams are intimidated by the class/success/envy of a PNG type program.
I can understand the Beaumont peeps getting upset/jealous during encounter with both PNG and Nederland My goodness look at NISD and PNGISD vs a BISD REALLY
Beaumont needs to stick with babascket ball and repairing all the damage done by Admin, School Board, employees, contractors, wharehouse workers, etc... think about it - name 1 good thing about BISD??

such as?? and how did you even find their accounts?
Sounds like typical BISD stuff From Carroll Thomas to Calvin Walker to Lambert to Brown etc... don't see how any responsible parent would expose their child to the off the wall antics of BISD.

Dontre Thomas was one of the best offensive players in the state not area. 71 TDs, 1,800 yards rushing, and 3100 passing. He was clearly the best athlete for this award on offense. WOS players congrats but the offensive winner was wrong.
My argument for the WOS players is they WERE THE LEADERS on offense and defense on the State Champ football team and the best team and program in the area. PERIOD!!!
Ozens football program is a joke, they have 1-3 really good athletes every year. WOS has 6-8 every year and some do go to college on scholarships and to the next level as well.
Cant say the same for Ozens ex players -- Tony Brown????? so far all mouth and trouble.

I know you guys are talking Boys middle school, but an impressive stat from the girls side of basketball is the PN middle school 8th grade team has out scored their district opponents 473-88 in the 11 district games over the past two years. They have one more game tomorrow night at home to close out a fun two seasons. Hope they can continue on in to High School and be the first ever PNG varsity girls basketball team to make the playoffs.
They avg 43 points a game and allowed only 8 points a game. With every game having a running clock the entire second half. Pretty impressive ladies, keep it up!
Comeaux WILL NOT stand for it. Is there a PNG girl that starts Varsity BB and VB? She wont let them cheer and play VB - from what I am told.

Despite not being a Panther fan, it would have been great for the school to drop for the next 2 years. Odom middle school, the biggest middle school in Beaumont, is about a mile from Ozen and probably 90% of those kids go to West Brook because besides basketball, they feel Ozen is not going to win at anything. BISD needs to get some things figured out...
39 minutes ago, Jag Insider said:Yes, you are correct only WB has multiple sport success. Central and Ozen for the most part Basketball, track only. baseball golf tennis etc... not much there. Oh power lifting for WB - all the schools have some football success BUT when 4/6 or 4/7 go to the playoffs each year it is easier to accept. I don't know when either of the 3 have won a outright District Champ in football??

I know it wasn't but there is a deeper root I was aiming for. I'm aware the kids that hit Michael were African American.
Where was the coach?
why were they not dismissed at different times?
why was he by himself?
How can you call Jasper racist? they are AT LEAST 1/2 white/ 1/2 African American Don't live there but I bet majority of the sports teams are of a white MINORITY.

still stand by my statement that a leader as qb in most valuable.
Bad thing about awards based on opinion vs say batting ave. ERA, etc...we can debate all day. Kinda like Obama everyone seems to dislike him BUT they voted him into office every time he has been eligible.

Cant argue with you there.
Is the basketball program improved over there with the new group of coaches?
-
I can see your point However, having played on a State Champ team there is something about the swagger of a winning qb -- the throw/run when you need it, etc... I'll take Dallas as a gamer over anyone I can think of in recent years.
THE LEADER of the State Champions bottom line! kindda like Terry Bradshaw took a lot of flak but a fist full of Super Bowl rings too
-
thanks JG that put it in perspective on the D side
I am all over Dallas the WOS kid - think about it last year a state game in FB as a qb/ state game as a pitcher in baseball
Then this year wins the State FB game. And he won the wiffle ball tury too.
I'm not a WOS fan (geaux dawgs) but the db that ran a couple punts back Tims maybe? Strong
voters may not want 2 from the same school you could argue big time for them!!
-
I went to PNG last night to watch this kid on JV. he wasn't there and the people around me -BISD folk - said he got into a fight with a female student so was not eligible to play. I left before the game so cant attest to the fact if he played later or what.
-
IMO there is no REAL clear cut guy couple of good Qbs, many good Rbs on the Oside
Defense - cant think of a Tony Brown type stand out this year. The soph db from WOS is strong
Seniors only right?

Man, that sounds good! I used to love listening to Jim Baker, Tammy, Bro. Copelend and others quote their Book.
I think it makes one sound more Christian like
