  1. Newton plays White Oak at 7:30 friday night in Carthage. Newton has no defence. Will have their hands more than full against a team that gave Tatum all they wanted. Tatum won that game in the fourth quarter.
  2. Newton will play the loser between White Oak and Tatum, which will probably be White Oak. They will play Friday night at 7:30 at Carthage.
  3. If PNG loses and Nederland wins they would both be 4-3  Nederland beat PNG. SO.................................
  4. Wrong, isaylkedic,  if they lose they would be co champions with the winner of the Anuhuac/Newton game. They might win the tie breaker but would still be co champions.  Don't think they will lose to Buna though.
  5. when you (Evadale) play a weak schedule like you do each year to make the coach's record look good, then you hit the playoffs against a fairly good team you get wiped out. Like the first playoff game last year that you lost 60 to 7. You will never be a real good team untill you start scheduling and playing better teams. UIL really deals your team a bad hand when you are thrown into a weak district like you are in.
  6. HA, have you ever seen a little dog jump on a full grown wildcat.  Jasper will be howling for help. There want be any ''who let the dogs out" friday night. They will probably be hollowing who let Mr. Ford out.
  7. Newton's  QB is out for 4 to 6 weeks. Strained legiments/pulled legiments in leg. He said he would play this week but I don't think he will be able to go for several weeks. He pulled the legiments in the second quarter of the Woodville game and limped throughout the rest of that game. Special tribute to CB at homecoming, football field will be specially painted with a tribute to CB painted at midfield. QB did not play last week against Warren.
  8. Newton played all their players after the first quarter. Newtons starting QB is out, got hurt in Woodville game, he said pulled legiments and doctor told him he would be out 4 to 6 weeks. He said he was playing next week anyhow but he could not hardly walk last night. Don't think he will be ready to play for a few weeks. Big homecoming planned next week with a special tribute to a very special man.
  9. No excuses, EC forced some turnovers. Newton's problem is NO DEFENSE. Defense has not been there all year. We don't seem to be able to adjust when the other team is running it down our throat. Newton has lost 7 coaches in the last two years. We lost our offensive, defensive, and Head coach alone with three more assistances (hum, sounds like an excuse now). Hats off to EC, good luck the rest of the year.
  10. The coach knew the rules. He could have went to the district committee for a waiver. This committee is made up of people from  the district schools. It is not wrong to help the kid, but it is wrong to break the rules. He could have helped the kid by getting a waiver when he took him in and not have BROKEN THE RULES. If the committee would have turned the waiver down then the coach could still have taken the kid in and the kid not played football. Seems to me like there is more to it than just helping the kid.
  11. Two good coaches knocking heads. Hooks will have the best game plan. I think WO-S wins this one by 14 points. However, good luck to both teams. Kirbyville's defense is very aggressive, look for Hooks to take advantage of this.
  12. Newton 47  E.Chambers 20  Starting wide receiver out for Newton, strained ligaments in ankle. district championship will be decided in Anahuac. P.S.- I think Buna will surprise some teams in district.    Newton/Anahuac  1st and 2nd.  Buna 3rd.
  13. Probably the only reason he took the kid in was because he was a good football player. Would he have taken a homeless kid in if he was not a good football player? How many more homeless kids has he taken in that were not football players? As coach, he knew or should have known the rules.
  14. Good luck Buna throughout the rest of the season. You earned respect from the fans and the players from Newton. I think you will have respect from the other teams in the district after this year is over. Good luck.
  15. Sometimes life is hard to understand, but The Man up above is still in charge. Prayers from Newton.
  16. A lot of talent on this Silsbee team. To much for Jasper.  Silsbee 41    Jasper 21
  17. We will all be wearing no.12 in our hearts, for a long long time.
  18. I do not get the P.A. news, and did not hear about it from the news. I heard about it from all of the chat posted on this site.  It seems like all of you have aired the dirty laundry also. Nothing wrong with things like this getting aired as long as they are the truth. These kind of things are going to get out. Most of you are probably glad you know about this matter, but don't think anyone else should know.
  19. Newton 7th ----16 Silsee 7th------6 Newton 8th---52 Silsbee 8th---0        Newton's 8th grade has not been scored on. They were not scored on last year as 7th graders.  Speed, Speed, Speed. Second team just about as good as the first team.
  20. Blue 2318 please explain to me how Burkeville cancelled the game with Evadale. They are in the SAME DISTRICT.
  21.   DE--------WEYVILLE.    Weyville makes mustangs cry "we we we'' all the way home. Still no J V team. Look for more of the same next year.
  22. K-ville's Ford - Is he good? They have already named a car and a president after him. Enough said.
  23. A lot of BC fans will be amazed after this game is over. No contest. Kirbyville is for real. K-ville and WO-S will be a close one. Kats take that one to. Good luck to both teams. P.S. - I have been wrong before.
  24. No contest. Deweyville takes this one with ease.
  25. Silsbee is going to be to much for Newton. I put Silsbee in the same class as Kirbyville and WO-S. Newton will be all right by the time playoffs get here. Newton is improving each week.
