Newton will be good next year. Our QB was a 9th grader. Porter will be a Senior, King who broke his leg early in the playoffs was a jr. we have 17 kids coming back and some good JV kids coming up. Congratulations to Wall on a good year. Most NEWTON fans do not complain, we accept the loss and move on. WO-S, Newton and Memorial had great years. We shall return.

I think coach Parks would be a good fit. He is a good man. But it will take several years to turn the program around. His wife is also at Newton.

Hemphill turned in 204 on enrollment.That is not for bad for 2A2. Bremond turned in 152 and went several rounds in the playoffs this year. The kids do not want to play and When this all started they were in Newton’s district. So many kids quit and they had to move the JV kids up to the varsity and had no JV team. Kind of reminds me of when Kirbyville went south. However, along came Alvarez who turned that program around and when he left that program went south again. I go through Hemphill pretty often and I am more concerned about getting the Dairy Queen back open.

Great season, good year for the eagles, good job coaching. Proud of our coaches and players. We get a lot of kids back next years, we knocked on the door, next year we will kick it down.

Good year for newton, they had spies on no.3 and 5. Just good coaching.Anywhere they went the linebackers followed. They had a good game plan. I do not think people knew just how good Gunter was.

Now we need to get WO-S and Memorial in the finals. That would be great.
