Wow, did not realize there was that much money paid to athletics . Seems the richer schools should come out on top. Seems like college is no longer about education but about money.

There are 1200 to 1500 D1QB’s actively committed in high school each year. Div. 1 usually carry 3to4 QB’s on their roster. Just because a kid gets an offer from Baylor does not mean he will be a millionaire like some people believe. Nothing is definite until he gets that offer in writing.

If Luke accepts Baylor’s offer there are 5 QB’s on their roster next year, depending on if more QB’s transfer there or leave. Some idiots think if you get aD1 offer from Baylor you are a millionair.

The point is that he would probably play for La. Tech may never start for Baylor. The degree at Baylor is probably not any better than La. Tech.

as a high school athlete you are outstanding but just another athlete in college.-where is Barrier now? Luke would be better off signing with someone like Louisiana Tech, getting his degree while he is enrolled there. He has a close relative who has set a good example for him. You sign with a D1 school you will probably find 2 or 3 D1 QB ‘s setting on the bench.

I pulled up the 2026/2027 Woodville roster and Luke is not on it.

Woodville will be just fine. Now that Luke is gone. They will run an offense that fits the whole team not just one player.

Only the school board can run a coach off.

Is this a school board problem?

Looks like it is not much loyalty to the Woodville school. It is not what Woodville did for Babin but what Babin did for Woodville.

Did Luke transfer.?

Could be Newton scored 7 pt. or 8 pts, Then picked up a fumble or intersected a pass and run it back for another score.
