    CardinalBacker, The question is, Is BC ready for Silsbee, Navasota and LCM? You better hope you have a lot coming back. Is BC playing WO-S next year?

    Maybe by week four our line will be a little more experienced. We lost all our offensive line and most of our defensive line. We will be rebuilding this year but still have a lot of skill players. But, watch out for Newton is two years away from a crop of players that may just be the best we have had in years.

    Newton has probably beaten Orangefield as many times as they have beaten us. They are two divisions higher then Newton, Br. City is three divisions higher then Newton. How many teams does BC play that are two or three divisions higher than them. I see BC has not gotten tired of being THRUMPED by WOS(which is one division lower then BC.).

      There are only two divisions higher than us.  5A and 6A.  So, no, we don't play any 6A or 7A(?) schools.  You probably haven't heard this, but we were the second smallest school in our district.... For 2015.   In fact, we will be the smallest team in our District next year when Jasper drops back to 4AD2.    We regularly play (and beat) teams in our district that are in the 1050 student range, which is considerably larger than our 750 or so kids.  In fact, you could add the entire Newton high school to our rolls, and still would not be as large as some of the teams in our district.  Think about that.  If we combined BC and Newton into one school, we still wouldn't be as large as LCM, Cleveland, or Huffman, all of whom we beat this year. Our collective GPA would suffer, though.  So the question is, how many times this year did we face teams that were from larger schools than ours?  7 out of 11.  

       

      Also, we haven't played WOS in two years....

    1st two games- Kirbyville--Woodville Next three games(not sure of the order) Bridge City, Diboll, and Silsbee. 1st scrimmage- Jasper

    I was at the scrimmage and E.CH. went toe to toe with Silsbee. Very close scrimmage with Silsbee scoring the only TD.  E. Chambers looked pretty good to me.

    I understand PN-G was dialing Sabine Pass's number but accidently called Tx City. No disrespect to S.P. but I think PN-G could have handled them to.

    Kevin was featured on High School Spotlight last night. Two people were featured, a hugh lineman who is committed to Ohio State and Kevin.

    You are right, Newton did not mix as many players in as Silsbee, Silsbee has 822.5 players in High School to Newton's 300.

    Hey guys, no one won the scrimmage.... Both teams looked good. This Newton guy will be pulling for Silsbee throughout the year. Silsbee will go far into the playoffs and hopefully will win state. Good luck to Silsbee.

    Totally shocked to see PN-G scrimmage a 3A team picked 7th in their district. You don't gain anything by this. Tx City will be a good opponent which will bring out the weaknesses in PN-G. Wait until next week to evaluate your team.

    SOPH. NEWTON 3 TD'S SILSBEE 0 JV.  NEWTON 1 TD, SILSBEE I TD VARSITY NEWTON 4 TD'S SILSBEE 1 TD. NEWTON HAD TWO KEY STARTERS OUT, BOTH ALL DIST. ONE OFFENSIVE LINEMAN AND ONE DEFENSIVE LINEMAN. BOTH ARE GOING MONDAY TO HAVE MRI'S ON THEIR KNEES. REMEMBER THIS IS A SCRIMMAGE AND TEAMS PLAY ALL PLAYERS IN ORDER TO EVALUATE THEM. SCORE MEANS NOTHING. SILSBEE IS A VERY GOOD TEAM AND I WISH THEM THE BEST OF LUCK THROUGHOUT THE SEASON.

    The only date I see them not losing a game is Sept.20

    for example, K-ville has 125 more kids in high school then Newton does. They have more kids out for football, more to choose from, etc.. Once those numbers change a little more then one of the schools would be in a different clasification. This is the reason it is hard for 2a teams to compete with 3a or 4a teams, etc..

    I would have picked some real easy schools like....... Brookland,Tx. anacoco, La SUMMER CREEK.
