Hope Yoe doesn't look at the defensive stats and find out Newton has given up less points than Yoe this year.

Newton will be loaded. Only 8 total seniors on this team. Lose a good qb but have  two soph. ready to step in. Newton should be even better next year.

Newton vs Yoe Shenandoah, Friday 7:30pm, Newton will be visitors. Go to website, Newton Independent school district , where Newton has the announcement and click on the address for the stadium and you will get the map with the directions, location of the stadium.

Found a write up on the Yoe/Hallettsville game in the Bryan Newspaper. Game was close in first half, Yoe faked a punt on 4th down and made a first down and went on to score on that drive. Yoe returned the second half kick off for a TD. Yoe also picked off a quick out pass to the wide receiver and scored. The write up said Yoe is plus 25 on turnovers.

I happened to turn on fox SW at midnight and the game was being telivised. Yes, what a bad move by the DeSota coach to call time out with 3 seconds left and give Carroll  another chance to score and win the game from the 1 yard line. Almost cost DeSota the game. Not much was said by the announcer because it was such a bad move and they did not want to make an issue about it. Has Desota lost then it would have been a big issue.

Newton played at Bullard and Lufkin and both high schools had great facilities. All their coaches were standing on the track watching us play. They probably need to hire another 15 coaches next year. That should do it.

Newton did not Play Cameron Yoe last year. Crockett beat us in the second round.

Franklin was a very good running team. Very respectable performance, Newton had to really get down on defence to stop/slow down a very good running attack. Good luck in the future Franklin, you were a class act. You Played hard to the finish and played good clean hard nose football. WOW, to think we are one week away from Jerry house. Next week should be a barn burner with Yoe. Hated to see WO-S lose to Navasota. Good year WO-S, you are a class act. Now lets see if we can pull Nederland through today. Remember, DeSota vs Southlake Carroll is telivised on fox SW at 2pm today.

To win state you have  to be good and have a little luck to go with it. All the teams left in the playoffs are good now. I remember when Kville was playing, I think Muleshoe, and things were going Kvilles way when they fumbled a punt and things turned for them. I think Kville had a team capable of winning state but luck was not on their side. Just hope the breaks go our way the remaining games. It was good to see coach Alvaraz and coach Hill at the Grandview game. Hope the Newton fans don't get the big head and start thinking we are unbeatable.

channel 12 announced sunday night that the game was at Herrington stadium in Bullard. That is wrong acccording to Newton ISD which has posted the game at Panther stadium in Bullard. artificial turn, seating is 5500. Stadium opened in 2008.

Looked the stadium up on TX Bob's capacity 2500 artificial turf  built in 2005 home of Brook High School if you are using gps the address is 22450 fm 2493 old Jacksonville hwy, Bullard Tx. 75757

Newton vs Grandview - 7:30 pm Herrington stadium, Bullard. Bullard is just south of Tyler, I think on hwy 69.

To Coach indianchief 23, If you know more about coaching then coach Faircloth does, then apply to the school board for the job. I am sure you will have PN-G  in the state playoffs ever year.

Sounds like ECFAN#1 wants Teague to do what they could not do. Does he think Teague is that much better than E.Chambers. (Newton 74 E Ch.7).
