I am still trying to figure out how we are going to stop this 6'4" 320 lb. 4.9 QB......this will be a huge task, does he throw or run or a little of both ??? How the heck did Newton shut this down ?? I am so scared now I don't know if I'm going : )

You and your buddy longball need to get on the same page. He was suggesting this mythical 6'4"...320...4.9 player plays for Woodville, not us. Lmao... He said we should be worried. When called out by someone about why we should be worried, he referenced this player. Come on brobie and longball...you guys get your stuff straight before posting. It's embarrassing. :)

  2. This longball dude has zero respect from anyone. He knows it too. Moving on....Woodville is solid, as solid as I've ever seen them be. We are solid too but we still have some kinks to work out. I'm picking my Cats to win by one score in a high scoring shootout, but believe me....Woodville has our undivided attention. We are not looking anywhere else until this game is over.

The all time series record between these two teams is tied at 33-33-1.

Thanks. I was afraid I was gonna have to look this up somehow. Lol.. This is a surprising stat though tbh. I've been around more years than I care to admit and I bet I can count on one hand the number of times I can remember Woodville winning. (I didn't watch our team for the bulk of the 90's though so that has a lot to do with it. I didn't watch cause it was seriously sad at how bad we were during that decade. Lol..)

Kirbyville had trouble at times stopping Orangefield's wing-t. That could be a problem if Woodville decides to be more creative with their offense. Also, I know it's just Warren, but the QB showed off his arm a couple times this past Friday. I'd like to see more passing plays against Kirbyville. Lol

We only gave up 7 pts so we didn't have too much trouble stopping them. As far as our defense goes though, our problem isn't stopping teams when it counts, it's finishing out the full 4qtrs even when we have a big lead. Most of the pts scored against us by Palestine Westwood, San Augustine and Kountze came in scrap time...late in the 4th qtr after the games were well in hand. I highly doubt we'll be able to let off the gas this Fri so hopefully not playing the full 4qtrs in the last few games won't hurt us.

Im glad you admit just recently!!! What maybe 6-7 yrs? I don't count that as traditionally. Woodville has the overall record!!! Every team has their season's and I'm saying it's our time to come back!!!

I highly doubt that statement is true. But no matter what, all that counts is what's gonna happen this coming Fri night in Woodville. And I think all the Eagle faithful should get with the EC faithful of the last couple yrs to see how they handled the day after they played us in a game they were SURE to win. Lol..

Now don't start that traditionally because when I played on the late 90's it was a practice game for us!! It's Woodville's time to rise now!!! I hope you don't really think that because traditionally is not gonna cut it!!!

Kirbyville's football team was a joke in the 90's. In the 80's and prior...and all of the 2000's...is what I'm talking about. Woodville has ALWAYS been one of the teams we wiped our feet on while waiting to face a real team. That's reality.

Weapons not gonna beat a full team!!! Not this time!!!

East Chambers fans said the same thing 2 yrs in a row. Woodville is having a good yr. My hats off to you for that. But Kirbyville is gonna be more than you're prepared for. This is a down yr for us. A rebuilding yr. Woodville on the other hand is having one of their best yrs ever. Yet it's supposed to be a competitive game. What does that tell you about experience and talent? Kirbyville by at least a TD.

This is what I think mustangs will go all the way to state with no one score on them IM JUST SAYING they have an rep to protect

A fluke, a trick play from out in left field, an uncalled penalty or any number of possibilities could lead to a score against this team. Don't get so caught up in the scoreless run that you lose sight of the wins. I'm wishing good luck to you WOS. I don't care what the scores are and will be following you to the end.

  9. Ahhh....see that's me not doing any research. I didn't look at who beat Coldspring, I just knew they had lost twice. That's my bad and won't happen again. But still, I'm putting Kirbyville and Woodville as the top 2 with Coldspring and Buna as 3 & 4. Kirbyville is getting it together at the right time and Woodville is hungry. The K and W game is still my pick to decide the district champ.

im just not sold on Woodville beating Coldspring yet. And I still think Kirbyville is the heavy favorite

Woodville will beat Coldspring easily, and give Kirbyville all we can handle. The 3 & 4 spots will go to Coldspring and Buna. The top 2 will be a knock down drag out in Woodville in 2 weeks. Mark my word. I can see into the future. Lol

You're absolutely right. Yall were my pick to win district in the preseason. Great football team, as usual, over in Kirbyville.

Thank you. You've always been a great sportsman eagleswoodville#1. Makes it tough to talk smack. Lol.. In all honesty though, yall have got us paying attention to you. Everybody thought it would be between us and Coldspring for the title...and of course anything can happen so that may still be true...but right now let's be real, Woodville is looking like the team to beat. I'm loving it. Good luck to yall too.
