Only score I have is Gentry 8B 30 Highlands 8B 0.

not at all. Btw I will be on GCM side, guess im a Pats fan deep down inside?
You can always start setting up your mailboxes here in the Dirty Bay. If any of those PAM athletes feel like staying in 6A they can always c'mon out west when GCM and PAM switch places. Just follow the setting sun.

Longer than it's been since I had a bowl of Wolf Brand Chili, and Neighhbor that's too long.

What is the GCM freshman record this year?
1 and 3 but could very easily be 3 and 1. The talent is there, it just needs utilized and developed properly.
-
Goose Creek Memorial 9th - 20
Central 9th - 33
Final
Goose Creek Memorial JV - 0
Central JV - 56
Final
The freshman score was actually 30 to 20. GCM lost two fumbles deep in Jaguar territory and three overall, that was the difference in the game. This was a great battle between two really good teams.

If its the fullback I am thinking it is I think he is Sterling. Not 100 on that though. I wont be there next week since Ill be at the 7th grade game. But if you can video it would be sweet lol..
I can't record a game I'm trying to watch, the camera would wind up broken. lol
Edited to add: Where are the country bumpkins? I'd sure like to know how Dayton and Crosby are doing.

I may have to stop by for this one after the GCM freshman game. I am curious to see how Lee holds up against a DC favorite.

Lets just hope that, over the BYE week, we learned that option #1 shouldnt be an option at all. You learn a lot about a coaching staff coming off a BYE week, If nothing has changed, and the offense remains status quo, Boyds, thrown it all in, and steering the Titanic...
I think the fact that they tried something different in week three shows that their not just going to stick to the status quo. As far as QB #1 is concerned; I think they try to throw 20 to 30 yards down field too much. They need to stick to more of a ball contol type passing scheme and get the ball into the hands of their atheletes. A combination of both QB's to keep the defense off balance, if done right, may be the best offense of all. If not, they were definitely more explosive with QB #2.

Gentry can supply the speed. We have two tailbacks, a qb and even a a full back that had long td runs last night. The tailbacks and the QB are zoned for GCM, not sure about the full back yet but I'm trying to find out. The only thing that can through a wrench into things is the Academy enrollment. Hopefully those kids want to stay at GCM. Our defense was really flyiing to the ball and made some great open field tackles. Horace Mann has a couple of really fast, elusive running backs. They had a few big runs but we kept them out of the end zone. We'll be seeing ya'll next week. Bring your track shoes!

Should have been 12-0 at-least. !st play of the game we HJS would have scored on a fumble picked up and taken to the house as well if they would have had decent refs.. SMH..
BH85 what was up with your coaches?? We had the ball 4th and inches and we get the 1st down but get called for holding and your coach declined the penalty.. lol
HJS 7A 19 BHS 14
HJS 7B 0 BHS 7
I knew our D-line was gonna be some thing nasty. We have 3 DE's that can live in the back field and make it a long day..
How's your offensive line looking? Ours looks decent, I'd like to see more size but we have a couple of big boys. I don't know which ones are going to Sterling or GCM though.
Also as far as rezoning the high schools, I've heard through the grapevine that the district is leaning towards leaving things as is, so GCM will probably be 6A next year, but I'm hearing this third hand so take that for what it's worth. Ultimately I think that's for the better. Even if they re zone GCM would still wind up in 6A two years later with a smaller area to draw atheletes from. This way they can take their lumps now and hopefully be more competetive by our kids junior and senior years. Hopefully the new neighborhoods going in will bring more atheletes. I would like to see Boyd and his coaching staff do like Sterling's coach and try to get more kids in JH and HS excited about playing and get the numbers up. I know of a few good atheletes that are just sticking with baseball.

Central might need it after Duke and Adams gets through with them on Friday night
GCM has a few more horses in the stable as well. Neither of these two were the offensive star last game.

Man, I don't think Julia Child ever stirred so much. Somebody get some Thera-gesic for Buddy's shoulder.

Just saw the Crosby / Cedar Bayou 8th scores from last week:
8A Crosby 34 Cedar Bayou 7
8B Cedar Bayou 34 Crosby 0

I think Gentry 8A will take HM 8A no problem.. Next up for HJS we have BH North. I think our Defensive line is going to cause some fits for alot of teams this year.
Game day. Which grade is playing at home this week? Our 8th wll be at Stallworth tonight.
You know this isn't as fun without any ponies or pumas to mess with.

I think PAM has the atheletes to make a game of it for a half, but once that final buzzer sounds, the score will be what ever CV wants it to be.
-
Lee's not there yet but they'll put up a fight for 3 quarters.
PNG 37 Lee 24

Ive got to be realistic here, We gave up almost 30 to LCM, and barely scraped by with a W, Our offense has not been in a groove or found consistency all year. Central will be returning a cpl difference makers, and quite frankly GCM doesnt have enough difference makers to win this game. i wholeheartedly want the pats to win, and Ill be on the sideline cheerin my butt off, but when it comes down to it, it aint the Xs and Os, its the larrys and Joes, and centrals larrys and Joes are better than ours.
Central 28
GCM 17
You just had to go and harsh on my buzz man. You're probably right though. I just prefer to see the glass half full.......then empty, then full, then half full again........
-
I think this is going to be defensive battle. GCM's defense is playing much better than last year, but the offense is down so far. They did show flashes though against LCM. I liked what I saw with the two headed pass/run QB combo. If they can mix it up a little more and keep the defense guessing and get a little more consistency in the passing game I believe they win.

Yeah, Gentry 8A should be ok. B team will be looking for revenge after losing a close one last year.
-
I was told Gentry 8A won their game against BH south as well. Not sure of the score but he believed it was 30 something to a one digit number. If anyone knows for sure please post.
Next up for Gentry, Horace Mann. Sounds like it ought to be a good one based on your description BH85.

Baytown Sterling has the top two guards fom Gentry JH and a couple of the big boys from Cedar Bayou JH. They have the potential to be pretty good.
-
Everybody east of the Trinity is sleeping on GCM. A little more tweaking of the offense and they're going to be dangerous. And Lee could very easily be 2 and 1 right now. Maybe even 3 and 0. They just need to learn to play a full four quarters. But don't worry about us, we're really not that good over here in Baytown. We're just getting ready for baseball and soccer.

Wow, didn't this Dayton squad win district last year or was it Crosby?
