So fumblitis at BH starts at the JR High level not just on the Varsity level..
I guess they need to sharpen those eagle talons. lol

Well, tonight was a first. I heard of turning off the scoreboard after a loss but turning off the lights to the stadium before we could exit??? Probably a good thing for Dayton though, I was just about to get some pics of the winning team standing on the horseshoe to post.
Lol. Barbers Hill has done that to us (Gentry) in Junior High once or twice.

I was talking to a few other GCM parents after this game and heard the same from all of them; nobodys happy with what we're seeing on the field. I'm not going to go into detail but some of the comments and complaints are fair. Hats off to Vidor, they came ready to play and looked sharp. GCM's freshman seem to be regressing as a team and some of the kids and parents are getting frustrated.

I couldn't make the games tonight, but I was told that Genty 8A beat BH North A 25 - 0 and Gentry 8B won 40 - 12 over BH North B. No word on the 7th grade. Bye next week then a battle for first place with Crosby.
Does anyone know the results of the Crosby v Baytown Jr. 8th grade games?

Gentry 8A wins a shootout against Baytown Jr. 33 to 26. Both teams fought hard.
Gentry 8B wins 34 to 6.
I heard Gentry 7A loss to Baytown jr and Gentry 7B won, but I don't know the scores.

It was 7 - 6 at the half, in fact GCM should have been up but fumbled the ball inside PNG's 5. Second half was more fumbles for GCM. One inside our own 10 which turned into an easy TD for the Indians. Too be fair PNG had some turn overs early on too but they weren't in such critical territory. Also they corrected that problem in the second half. Good game Indians. Ya'll have some talent to look forward to in the future.

Yea pretty sure most go to Lee. I dont think we have many Baytown Jr kids at GCM.
There are a just a few on the freshman team.

Comparing Attendance zone maps, it looks like one Baytown Jr neighborhood goes to GCM, the rest goes to Lee.

Patriots have just enough athletes in the secondary to slow down the Indan air show and unlike Lee still defend the run. PNG game plans for Duke and Adams and get burned by two other athletes they didn't account for. Duke takes it to the house in the final seconds and GCM pulls off the upset 30 - 28.

Sorry my friend talked to a couple of our players this week. They are looking forward to the challenge of trying to stop a first class back. Your DUke is respected by the boys. They said they had never heard of him until Bmtsoulja1 posted on here how good he is. They began studying lots of tape on him afterwards. You can thank Soulja for them preparing for him.......LOL JK about the soulja part
Duke who? lol. Actually I think if GCM cuts down ont the turnovers they make a game of it. That goes for the entie season. Turnovers are just as responsible for their two losses as their competition is.

Yep, PNG needs to start game planning for the L -train right now. GCM is in the bag. No way that it could be PNG's trap game. ; )

Don't count out GCM yet, they let that Vidor game slip away. It's a long shot, but they do have the horses to go 3 and 0 to wrap up the regular season. It starts with a must win game against a much improved Lumberton, that should be a battle with the fourth spot on the line. GCM was able to beat big NED last year in Nederland, something the Injuns haven't done in a while. This year the Dawg's have to come to the Dirty Bay. And lastly Ozen, a game the Patriots should have won last year. Will they get their revenge at the Butch? Unfortunately I'm working nights this week so I won't be able to partake of Lumberton's hospitality on Thursday for my sons Freshman game or friday for the must win Varsity game. I'll be coming here for updates.... I mean working hard.
