  1. So if Sterling is at 2450 and GCM is at 2164 than Lee needs to be under 1685. They were at 1400+ last year and I believe they're numbers have been dropping so it's possible. I think it will only be for the next two years though as GCM and Sterling are growing too much to remain in 5A. But it would definitely be fun to have all three schools in the same district and would go along way towards getting the community more excited about Baytown football and hopefully get more kids in the programs. Even better if we are in the same district as BH, Dayton, and Crosby. But knowing the UIL we'll probably be shipped to region II or something.

  2. Aren't the snapshot numbers taken next month? Would they have to have a plan in front of the UIL by then or by February? I'm wondering if there is already too many kids too get all three schools to 5A numbers. Does anybody have an idea what Sterling and Lee's enrollment is projected to be this year. GCM was already over 2100.

  3. It's not just a matter of numbers but you have to enough atheletes and size. GCM seems to have plenty of athaletes but are lacking in size. I think big ole 77 isn't leaving any food for the rest of the kids to eat, that or it's Michelle Obamas healthier school meals. Maybe all us GCM fans and parents need to pitch in and buy a 55 gallon drum of lard and send it over to the school ASAP. lol

By the way, is there anyone here with any insider info about the school districts plans to rezone or not to rezone. Just curious because we live in an area that could be affected. My older son wants to remain a Patriot.

  4. I'll just leave this here.

  5. No. Three schools have stretched us way too thin.

Going "a couple of rounds" would consist of one of us winning our district and playing a 4 seed in Rd 1. I just don't see that happening any time soon. We have some good talent in Baytown, just not all in the same

A couple of other factors to consider is growth north of I-10 and along N Hwy 146 and if the district is going to rezone the schools and where those zone boundries lie. The last time they rezoned there was one proposal that showed N. Hwy 146 going to Sterling. There are a lot of athletes that live in that area.

  6. I guess this is going to be your Saturday morning excuse? We will be without one of starting  running backs tomorrow night.

Just stating a fact. We combined our A and B teams since ya'll don't have a B team. We had at least 4 or 5 B teamers on the field the entire game. We never had all our starters on the field at the same time. If this were a district game it would have been different. Also the starting rb and one of our A team qbs did not play for disciplinary reasons. That's on them. Has nothing to do with Friday night or Saturday morning.

  7. Urban Dictionary:

    Code Red

"Code Red" generally applies to any girl who in that particular situation (e.g. The Griffin Inn, Dale) looks quite attractive due to there being a lack of any actually attractive girls in the vicinity. As a result this girl will suddenly find herself idolised and surrounded by up to twenty suitors (posing as a film crew for example) very quickly.

And their mascot is the cougar. Their's a connection there somewhere.........
