Alright I just heard the official word. Bill Bellichick is out at New England..for unknown reasons. But..he has agreed to come to Hardin, Tx under the following conditions:

1. Meet 1/3 his current salary
2. Tom Brady gets to breed all 16-25 aged women
3. He gets to personally air up all game balls

I know it's a stretch...but I see a powerhouse in the making.

Who cares.. Learn to schedule, or learn to play, or don't play.

Same thing happens here. Teams that are absolutely horrible end up with some sense of false hope because the other team basically stops playing and starts trying not to score. I don't really feel sorry for any team.

Didn't you know everything revolves around Liberty County. If it's not within 25 miles of HD's school district why would anyone even talk about it?

There isn't an offensive or defensive play in all of sports that is designed not to work. Good coaches make believers out of kids and the community.

Having said that...there has to be talent there. Good coaches can get more out of kids, but sometimes you're just not good enough.

Only 2 reasons a freshman would be playing a lot in high school boys sports or all college sports.

1. The kid is a stud
2. The team is terrible

If they're not good enough to do it the entire time put them on JV. Every minute of a JV game will benefit more than "come off the bench to knock down a 3" in a varsity game. Can't replace game experience.

Trust me I have no problem with the playing of younger kids. If a freshman is as good as a senior...the freshman plays everytime in my opinion. But if they aren't gonna play a lot...give them minutes on JV.

Working at the same school you went to growing up (especially if small town) is stupid. I couldn't imagine anything worse than coaching kids of guys you grew up with. Dream? Sounds like a nightmare to me.

By the way...I knew he would leave. Just thought it would be to a bigger, higher paying school district.

It absolutely 100% no question is the worst in Liberty county. Every other school has athletic facilities that are...oh what's the word...oh yeah...NEW

Liberty is a dump. It was a dump 20 years ago...and nothing has been done to change or fix it. Good athletes will continue leaving until things are updated.

I watched SEC Storied "The Believer" recently.  It's about Steve Spurrier taking the head job at South Carolina.  There's one part in the film when Coach Spurrier is talking about athletic boosters.  The stadium at South Carolina is named after a lady that donated 1 million dollars to the athletic program. She was the only one.  He then went on to say that several other schools in the SEC (Florida, Georgia, Alabama) had 40 or 50 individual million dollar donations. The next part is most important..

Biggest difference in northeast Texas and southeast Texas....Money.  Maybe not money in the community...but money pumped into the schools. I've been saying this since I've been a member. And of course labeled as a hater. But truth is truth.

There wouldn't be enough money in Bridge City ISD for me to take this job. Seems like a bad situation to get in.

I think I would also like making each team go for 2 after a TD. Every time.

So if your team scores with a minute to go and you're down 1...instead of trying to get it back...you're suggesting to put in a rule where you have to kick it deep and watch them kneel out the clock..
