  1. I do thank you. And if yours is good I hope it stays that way.
  2. This is "coming out swinging"? " Did I say to remove a city? Because I'm pretty sure I didn't. UP said to remove Livingston from existence..and by doing so it would raise the average IQ. I simply pointed out...that if raising average IQ was something of interest, not to forget about Beaumont. The city of Beaumont....not SETX. Beaumont. And I didn't say Beaumont was stupid (as a whole)...Forbes Magazine did. Take it up with them." Well...I knew that 2015 was the year where everyone got their feeling hurt by every little thing...didn't think we'd have a repeat. Oh well. By the way...I've had that picture as my "avatar" for long before this morning. But I guess you are right about my mood. (Even though I didn't think that was expressed in anything I wrote) I am particularly mad at the city of Beaumont this morning. More so than usual.
  3. lol...I don't see how what I posted this morning is any different than anything I've ever posted. But ok. Here...scroll through these: [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content] Like I said...take it up with Forbes Magazine. I didn't make it up.
  4. Did I say to remove a city? Because I'm pretty sure I didn't. UP said to remove Livingston from existence..and by doing so it would raise the average IQ. And I didn't say Beaumont was stupid (as a whole)...Forbes Magazine did. Take it up with them.
  5. Forbes Magazine rated Beaumont as the dumbest city in America...if you're talking about raising IQ, don't give all the credit to removing just Livingston. Just saying.
  6. They will not hire the right coach. Because "right" is a relative definition. Every coach (good coach) in the state has already heard about and have talked about this latest little incident with criminal charges being filed on the head coach for excessive punishment. So several good ones shied away because of that alone. That being said. There will still be some perfectly capable football coaches go after this job...just because it's a head job. So a lot of people will have the attitude "I can overcome all of that". But it won't matter. HF will be subpar because their best player / 90+% of the offense graduated. But the fans won't realize that...they'll have unrealistic expectations anyway I'm sure. So whoever they hire will be a "bad" coach in the eyes of the community. There's my prediction...
  7. Fantastic. Now what's to stop every school in the area (that's on or around the projected border) from trying to turn in fewer numbers? Nothing...except.."doing what's right"... Sounds like it might be worth it to me.
  8. This is where you get ridicule. 1. WH had 40 kids last year? and a JV? I think you may want to fact check. 2. HD, WH, and Colmesneil will barely have 50 kids combined this season playing football...again you are not realizing how numbers, school enrollment, and participation coincide together. 3. You were undefeated out of the worst schools in all of the state in that classification...and lost to Alto. 3 points or 30 doesn't matter. They lost to a team that didn't even get out of the region either year.
  9. Thanks for proving my point. You think HALF of those boys should play football.. Name me one single school that has 50% of the boys on high school playing football..you gotta be from Daisetta. Suspicions confirmed. I guess you truly are a moron.
  10. Sigh..ok. This is the last time I'm going to explain it. If you don't understand after this, then you're just a moron. How many kids do you guys have in high school? About 160. Let's say half of those are boys..that's 80. You're saying there should be 40-50 playing football. That's half..or more. There isn't a single school in the area for sure..likely the state..where half of the boys in the school are playing football. Do you understand that? Now..these boys that are in high school now in HD either were 6th graders that played in JH, or played with 6th graders in JH. Do you know what that means? It means there weren't enough boys to play football. Are you the only one not getting this? Did you think these same groups were going to magically have an influx of participants because you guys won State in 1979? You dropped in the smallest class in the state that has 11 man football. Because of numbers. These kids were forced to use 6th graders in JH. Because of numbers. We all knew these kids wouldn't have enough players to have a JV in high school. Everyone but you. It seems to me that the problem is you aren't facing reality. I make a lot of people mad on this site because I say what most people won't..but you are the most infuriating person of anyone that posts on this site. You give the word delusion a whole different meaning.
  11. Cat fight... HD55. You guys have no kids. Which is the reason you dropped in classification to begin with. Which is the only chance you have at making a playoff spot anyway...no matter who is coaching. If you truly believe HD should have 45-50 boys playing football then you're absolutely clueless. Not a school in America has a % of students that high playing football. You're talking well over half of the boys in the school. That's ridiculous. You guys better leave Hodges alone. Nobody else wants to come there I can assure you. By the way..you were only competitive for 3 years because of 4 kids that aren't even Daisetta kids.
  12. Bahahahahaha... Man I needed that. Smh Cant wait until the all district teams are announced so I can see Silsbee fans griping that they don't have 12 kids on first team all district. Boy oh boy.. Lol
  13. I can tell their weakness from one game. Because the one game I watched is the only game they've lost in months. And here's why: They could only score off steals. When forced to play half court offense it looked like they were lost. Which tends to happen to a team that normally doesn't have to or know how to do it. Also. Their half court defense was awful. Probably because they've leaned so heavily on their speed all year. You can get away with bad defense if your fast enough. But what if you aren't?...uncontested drive and layup fest. Like last night. And just to throw this out their...Silsbee did get a put back and bogus and 1 with 1 second to go. Because of an air ball. What's the difference between 3 and 6? Well...the difference in a 1 or 2 possession game. And I've already said..Lincoln wasted 10 minutes of offensive possessions trying to burn clock. Which helped Silsbee make it close...because they weren't very good at it. Call me a hater all you want...I call it like I see it. With everyone. Is Silsbee good? Absolutely. Their athleticism is impressive. But they lost because they aren't good basketball players. Just great athletes. By the way..the fact that you said Silsbee was running offensive sets makes me think that you know zero about basketball. That was strait AAU, street ball, my turn to take it to the hole offense. No screens, no cuts, no flashes, no movement.
  14. Syracuse yes for certain. They run a 2-3 zone a good majority of the game and always have. I like watching them in fact just to see what other coaches try to do against it. Never changes..get the ball to the middle. Syracuse only traps in the short corner so overloading one side wouldn't work. They rotate well, help well, and recruit the perfect players for doing it. However..they also see man defense most games, so they have to practice it often. Otherwise they wouldn't have an efficient man offense like they do. But they do. And they do jump in man from time to time so they must work it pretty hard as well. Like I said..easy to find exceptions. I'm pretty sure I said 95%.
  15. Trump supporter? Why?.. Did I misspell something. As far as politics go...I'm actually thinking about not voting for the first time in years. Only reason I might is to cancel out someone's Bernie/Hillary vote. As far as basketball...all those schools are zone teams huh? Majority of the game? I think you ought to pay a little closer attention. I personally like Texas decision to hire Smart. I loved VCU while he was there...one of the last diamond press guys left. Tribute to Billy Donovan. But half court...they play man my friend. Like I said...pay closer attention.
  16. Easy to find a few exceptions. Do me a favor...March madness (greatest single sports event in history) is about to start. Watch as many games as you can and count how many teams play zone defense for at least half of the game. I'll be curious to know your findings.
  17. If you play a team with 10 players better than your best player it doesn't matter what you do. You will never convince me that any team has to play zone over man defense. There is no other defense in existence (when done correctly) that can effectively stop a team from scoring in a half court offense. All zones leave holes. Effective skip passes, getting the ball to the middle, and simply being able to hit shots KILLS ALL zone defenses. It is not a coincidence that every professional team in the world and 95% of all college teams play man defense. It's the only effective way to guard your side of the floor.
  18. Nobody was getting to the rim and finishing. All of Silsbee's points were coming off of turnovers. It was actually quite tragic how lost Silsbee looked in their half court offense. I 100% blame the fact that SETX is the zone defense capital of the world.
  19. I hate the kid got hurt..especially being that it was the state finals. Not that there's a good time to get hurt. But hitting their stride? It's unbelievable how people perceive things.
  20. Because D1 basketball programs are in the business of wasting roster spots and/or scholarship money on kids that can't play.
  21. If you're the last player on the bench, at the worst D1 school in the country, then you're a stud. Over 99% of the high school players in the world aren't good enough to play in the Big10.
  22. "Had to play zone" Thats absolutely false, sir. And a little bit absurd.. Inability to break pressure is what got most of the teams "ran out of the gym". But as far as the defense they play in the half court...playing strictly zone is an indicator that you don't actually know how to play defense. Man defense is actually 5 people against the ball...as apposed to "I got my man" crap that these kids learn in little dribblers.
  23. Rephrase..1st halfway decent man defense they've seen all year. Only reason I say that is because they were doing what teams that don't know man offense do. No screens (on or away from the ball), no cuts (basket cuts or backdoor cuts), no movement whatsoever. Just try to penetrate, and if someone slides into help position either throw up a circus shot or kick it to someone standing completely motionless on the perimeter...then let them try. If they've seen more man..maybe take some time scoring in your man offense. Because what I saw was a team that can't score unless it's by scoring off of a turnover.
