  1. They graduated a lot. Including a running back that is playing D1.

  3. I was way wrong on this. CC being down or not...this will stick in my mind. Good job WV
  4. That one got about everyone. 1 game won't hurt you too bad.
  5. Pretty good. Missed HD/Hardin...but I think almost everyone did. Other than that I'm solid so far.
  6. Oldshool2 - "upgrade facilities, spend money on a good coaching staff, hire more coaches...that's the way to be competitive because that's what all the good teams in Texas do" ALL of setx - "we don't need any of that. We've done it this way forever. You don't know what you're talking about" I know it's game one. But it seems like a good direction so far.
  7. So can we assume that only athletes participate in sports? According to your old friend... track is not a sport. Does that also mean Usain Bolt is not an athlete? Well...he doesn't participate in a sport. According to your old friend.
  8. I think HD55 saw that I'm back....and will not post. In fear of my plethora of 4 horsemen material that may rain down.
  9. I personally think it's no question that Phelps is the more accomplished athlete. I'm a huge MJ fan. He is definitely one of if not the greatest to have ever played the game of basketball. But team sport accolades are also dependant of having a good team. During the peak of MJ's career there were 2 other Top 50 NBA all time players on his same team. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve everything he accomplished, I'm just saying team sports are different. Even during those years his team lost games. And some games he wasn't leading scorer on his own team. There are certain events that Phelps has never lost. Ever. Is MJ the best scorer of all time? Debatable. Best guard? Debatable. Best passer? No. Best ball handler? No. Won the most titles? No. Best defending guard? Debatable. Is Phelps the fastest swimmer of all time? Yes. Not debatable.
  10. Turned around? Possibly soon. A season or 2. But "turned around" is relative. Looking like old Ozen or Lincoln? Never. Nobody is denying he is a good coach. But even good coaches need state championship quality players to win state championships. Unless there is a mass movin of all good players from greater Beaumont...Westbrook won't be winning state titles. The talent is spread too thin.
  11. Hi. Maybe you don't know me. Allow me to introduce myself. I'm that one guy. The one that says things on my mind and don't care how people react. Unfortunately I don't think I will let it go. I defend ALL coaches to the max. Some of the HF parents (not all) made up a rediculous story that could've cost jobs. Of course the coach is fine. The allegations were investigated and proven to be false. As for HF. Could barely score in a scrimmage vs Tarkington or Livingston...you get what you ask for. I'm here to be the reminder.
  12. Compete for 4th? Out of 6... I agree. But I think they may also compete for last. LaMarque and Hitchcock will roll everyone but each other. EC gets 3rd. Rest is a coin flip in my opinion.
  13. HF probably isn't very conditioned. In fear of having CPS or FBI called.
