  1. Missed this one too.
  2. That dang district schedule...if there wasn’t some kind of rule about changing district games on the schedule that might be a good idea.

  4. Different kids make a big difference.
  5. At that pace it would've been 48-0... Yep. Way better than 60-0.
  6. I think this game has the potential to be relatively close...or the potential to be a massacre. From what I understand Liberty has an issue hanging on to the ball. If they lose some fumbles this could get ugly. However, if they limit those kinds of mistakes I think it could be a decent game. If not then it could be a 30-40 point game. This game is interesting. I think WOS still takes it but there may be some surprised at how good of a game it might be. We'll see.
  7. I think scheduling teams you can beat is absolutely important. You have to build confidence. A coach has to be able to say “my stuff works” and then prove it thru winning. Nobody cares who you beat. Their schedule last year was better for preparation for district. How’d that work out? And just to be clear. You saw them play growing up?.. Just WHO exactly did you see them play? I haven’t the slightest idea but I’m willing to bet these boys didn’t play a single team in Hardin’s district right now in youth sports. Youth sports is normally for neighboring towns if there aren’t enough kids to keep it “in city”. Which means you have no basis for comparison with the teams they’re playing now. Not to mention the fact that quite a bit changes between “growing up” and by the time they’re in high school. Ridiculous statement. By the way I said “new” qb because their qb didn’t play a single game last yr. And he is “one of the best players on the team”... as you put it.
  8. Lol. Look...the issue is and has always been the fact that Hardin is just out gunned. I think Haynes is definitely a good football coach. And the best thing he did was gutting the preseason schedule. But adding a new QB and different game plan will only get you so far. I’m not sure what everyone expected but you still have a bunch of kids on that team that went 0-10 last year. So again...it’s the kids. Want long term success? It starts with consistency. Leave the coaches alone and consistency will lead to better things. or...jump back on the “time for a new coach” carrousel and continue with your “1 out of 10-15 years good” routine. Either way I don’t care.
  9. I think he was being sarcastic. But you’re right...that would be the mindset of a typical Hardin fan.
  10. That would be dumb. Just sayin...
  11. 640
  12. All good...I honestly didn't think anything of it. Side note.. good thing about rough mornings is most of the time you only have one direction to go
  13. I was joking.
  14. My thread not good enough to post the snapshot numbers on? lol.
  15. True. But there are quite a few teams that do a lot of traveling now...even with smaller districts across the state. It's really hard to justify sending 4 teams to the playoffs in a 5 team district. As much as I wish it would go back to "top 3 get in" I know that it won't. Playoff games mean money...so 4 teams getting in is here to stay. But hopefully there has been enough thought put into it and they have gotten enough hearsay to admit that a 5 team district has to be done away with. Then again I'm not surprised at anything. We can all speculate what we want but UIL is gonna be UIL. No telling.
  16. I’m betting that 5 and even 6 team districts are gonna be a thing of the past.
  17. I literally laughed out loud.
  18. These are 2 different teams than when they played back whenever... WOS will win by blowout no matter who they catch round one.
  19. 1. Porter 2. Barbers Hill 3. Crosby 4. Lumberton 5. Port Arthur Memorial 6. Vidor 7. Silsbee 8. Little Cypress-Mauriceville 9. Navasota 10. Jasper 11. Bellville 12. Hardin-Jefferson 13. 20. I think your answer proves my point.
  21. Is it a different O line coach than last year?
  22. How many schools in SeTx have a winning record? Here's my point....there aren't a lot. Expecially compared to the number of schools. So in that regard...there are several schools that haven't played very many schools that have a winning record.
  23. HC by two scores+
  24. WOS would've made it at least to the state championship game last year even if they went under center every play of the season and ran the same play either direction.
  25. I think I'm taking HJ in this one.
