Yes 11 1st team offense and 11 1st Team defense. That’s what was meant. Technically the MVP, Off MVP, and Def MVP are supposed to come from that list. But trust me it would be tons better even if the 24 like you mentioned.

Ok. Jerry World has nothing to do with DFW teams making it to the championship game...but ok.
-
I will buy that ...but not until the other venues can give the teams a similar experience. Until then the State Champs deserve to play their last game of the year at the nicest field in the state. Location is irrelevant.
-
He thinks the rest of the state is mad about the venue being at Jerry World every year like SeTx folks...but honestly they don't care. In fact, they recognize that Cowboy Stadium is, in fact, the nicest field in the state therefore high school state championships should be played there. If DFW was shut out in Dallas only a few SeTx people would even think about it let alone laugh about it.

Will just have smaller districts. I think they need to keep that many districts because of playoff bracket.
-
Isn't it normally 16? 4 districts per region...4 regions.
-
I have no doubt they'll make the playoffs in football. You and I might be able to make the playoffs in that football district...
-
None of the schedules are set...young man...until after the districts come out. But let's assume WH has at least 4 games locked in pending the alignment... I'm curious to know who is on there you think will be a win. The aforementioned schools (Sabine Pass, Colmesneil, Burkeville) I already gave you credit for. So who's left? Your coach find a bunch of private schools around here...O'Connel, Pines Academy, etc... I'm confident that I won't be eating my words.

That's a negative, Ghost Rider. I won't budge on my beliefs on this All-District mess. The entire All-District team is supposed to be representative of an actual TEAM from the district. There should only be 11 on All-District for football. And sorry...but if the coaches got together and actually picked an actual team to play against another district...like it's supposed to be done, the chances of them taking players from the worst team are pretty small. That's because the teams that are successful...are usually successful because they have a team full of players that are "All-District" caliber. But thanks to countless complaining and the need to please parents and fans...we now have All-District teams in football with 46 kids out of 6 teams...and even the teams that couldn't muster a district win will have several 1st Teamers. Such a sad state of affairs we're in when everyone truly does get a trophy.

Come to think of it...I'll be a little surprised if West Hardin gets 8 wins for the boy's athletic program combined next year. Especially district wins. Your wins will come from creative preseason scheduling in everything but football.
-
I'll give you some free advice. Don't put any money on that prediction. You're welcome.
-
Oh my mistake. Congratulations on getting to add Burkeville to the list of stellar wins. That’ll make 3. Maybe
-
WH will beat Sabine Pass and possibly Colmesneil. The only difference is that now they will be district wins instead of preseason wins. Which...by the way...there go your preseason wins because there’s no one left you guys can beat. Burkeville is going 6 man.

Jasper, Silsbee, WOS, Huntington, HJ, Shepherd Liberty, LaMarque, Houston Kashmere, Tarkington, HF ??? Who knows...
-
I’m just seeing this? lol. You literally won the Internet today. This is great.
-
No offense...but yeah no kidding they're looking forward to it. A drop in classification ALWAYS results in the ability to be more competitive. UIL makes a lot of winners and losers based on that number they decide on.

How do you know how well of a coaching job they do? It is quite possible that they just aren't as good as their fans/parents think they are. But putting the coaching staff on blast isn't going to make them win any more games...I have a lot of friends/family in coaching and none of the ones I know aren't doing everything they can to win games and balance the holding of kids accountable. And no offense...because I think Babin is an outstanding coach from what I've been told. But he hasn't had a winning season since he left Deweyville has he? How much longer is Lumberton going to put up with that? And wasn't Duboise (Bridge City) like the Texas Coach of the Year or something not too long ago?.. He only won one game this year. How much longer should Bridge City put up with that? -
What a joke. Might as well have every starter on first team. That shouldn’t have to be said. Bad teams wouldn’t be bad if they had 1st teamers
-
I'm not saying they wouldn't do better. That's a given...smaller classification are "worse" and thus easier to compete in compared to classifications above them...that goes without saying. I'm just saying that the idea of Lumberton making deep runs in the playoffs as a result of dropping in class simply isn't true.
-
No offense...but what exactly are you basing that on? There's a lot of 4A D1 teams around here that Lumberton couldn't beat. Haven't been able to recently anyway. Aren't they normally in a battle with HF every year? HF couldn't even make the playoffs in D2.

What I’m saying is both are perennial powers in football but not the case at all in basketball.
-
Comparing scores isn’t the only thing my analysis is based on. And it seems to work out more times than not for me. I’m wrong plenty but for someone that doesn’t see games I’m usually relatively accurate with my predictions.
-
Probably about like WOS does.
-
It was sarcasm...and I was referring to the fact that Orangefield scored less than 10 points per quarter. Against a team that is most likely terrible based on the scored I've seen.
